A definite hidden gem in South Coast Plaza. Moulin offers a wide variety of dessert as well as meals. Their chicken pecan salad is frankly one of the best salads I’ve ever had. As of their dessert, their tarts are not too sweet and their Paris Breast is a must try with crispy and chewy layers of puff pastry alternating in perfect balance with their pastry cream.

This is a little “French style” Cafe with pasties, sandwiches and drinks. I got a ham and cheese baguette, pre-made, and an iced latte for twenty dollars. The pre-made sandwich was passable but not particularly good. The latte was good. The outdoor seating area is very nice and I like that it is physically outside the mall itself, under the stairway that links one of the mall blocks to the other. They have single person bathrooms which they do not have inside the mall, so that’s nice as well.

I tried the pastries (the plaza, raspberry mille feuille). They are beautifully decorated but taste wise, just average. Not the best. But if you are at the mall and wanted a dessert fix, can stop by here. Plenty of outdoor seatings available.

Went in on a hot day wanting a hot coffee…..I received iced. My daughter asked for oat milk – she received regular milk. I asked for two mini croissants & received regular sized. Seriously, I’d it really that hard? The barista was NOT approachable. I wasn’t in the mood to hear it was my fault ( ) so I took my completely wrong order & left. Minus a coffee that went straight in the bin.

Welcome to the most authentic French bakery/ restaurant ever. The food and service was so amazing that even a rainy day couldn’t keep the fans away. When we got there, literally the outside seating was all taken, and I’m not talking about just couple tables and chairs. The place was buzzing with customers standing in a long but fast moving line, just to get a taste of the amazing French cooking and baking. The freshly baked, perfectly sized baguette with French butter and French (Bonne Maman) strawberry jam, was accompanied by delicious cup of Cafe au Lait, as my choice of a perfect breakfast. The crepes are just as delicious. As we finished our breakfast, we decided to go inside and take a look at the unique selection of the French wines. We were so delighted to meet Laurent (the owner), who’s so personable and loves to interact with his patrons. Bravo Laurent on your successful business. You’re the true epitome of a creative hardworking immigrant, who overcame all obstacles and made it happen. We love your restaurant and you’ve made us your diehard customers.

We had the Exotic Pastry and it was delicious! The seating is minimal & outdoor so it is perfect for a beautiful sunny day. I also had the ice Cafe Au Lait, it was on the lighter side of lattes but I think one more espresso shot would’ve sufficed.
