We came to this restaurant expecting to be blown away because Colombian food is so bomb, but boy were we shook. We walked in to be greeted by a very lethargic man, no energy barley a smile, the decor was kinda cool. We sat down we were 1 of 4 or 5 tables. Pretty empty restaurant. We waited almost 45 minutes for our appetizers we got chicken and beef empanadas, they were good but the consistency of the filling made it hard to tell which one was which. Definitely not a good thing. We also got a papa rellena that was good minus the hard boiled egg in the middle being a little over cooked. For our dinner we got the Bandeja Paisa oh man where do I start. The piece of steak I got was super dry and let’s say flavorless. The chicharron was ok I think I was more fed up at this point because our food came out at different times I didn’t want to eat before my wife. But let’s get back to the food the pork belly was ok (only thing I packed up and brought home) the chorizo I thought would be good as well but was way overcooked and super dried out. I didn’t even touch the rice and egg on my plate I was definitely over it. The frijoles looked like it had potential but they missed yet again no flavor at all and very bland. The highlight of the night was my wife’s order the Sandwich de Patacon, this was the best thing we ordered. My wife ate about half but we were just at a point where our food took forever and when we did get our food we weren’t blown away. I wouldn’t recommend eating here, there are better options make the drive to the city or other suburbs cause this ain’t it jack.

Really not sure why this place has low stars. We had an excellent visit from start to finish.

It’s so nice having a good Colombian restaurant closer than Chicago. We had empanadas de carne, arepa con queso, and bandeja paisa. All very delicious. They have a small bakery too, if you’re missing those yummy breads from home. Highly recommend.

This place is a gem! The food was delicious and a great taste of home (South America). My mom is always looking for a great place and this is it. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The food does take a little time to be served but it’s because it’s freshly cooked to order. We were a large group and they did amazing making sure we were happy. Will definitely return.

Place is cute. However it seems though they were not ready for customers at the time of opening. They were still setting up. Waited about 10 minutes to get a beverage when no one was even here to even say the server was busy. The food was okay, but decent portion for 1. Overall not bad.

Ok so I showed up on opening day and it was a very Rocky start so I decided to try after some time has passed and the food today was great! They made some changes to the menu which I appreciate cause now they have everything on the menu. The empanadas are alittle smaller then before but they are average size to what everyone else does. The taste though on the empanadas I would say is the BEST AROUND!! The salchipapas are great as well! Glad I didn’t judge from opening day and came back later I will definitely come back. Love the place and the atmosphere!

The food was really good, i wasn’t sure about going to this place but it surprised me at the end. I had bandeja paisa and I think it’s a good price for the amount of food that comes with it. You should definitely give it a try.

Went during valentines day. Food was delicious ordered marranitas as app, and punta de anca as main dish, wife enjoyed cocktails, Live music and service was great. Food is a little pricey, and not all items were available so would recommend calling before and asking.

I’ve been here twice- Once was when I first saw it driving by and got a hankering for an “emergency empanada” LOL. They were delicious! The 2nd time, my wife stopped in by herself to order me a surprise authentic Colombian meal. She said the owner was extremely helpful and patient with trying to help her choose what to get and explained all of the menu options. Food was EXPENSIVE, but delicious, hot, fresh, and made perfectly. If you want authentic Colombian without the flights costs to Bogota, I recommend Lenos!
