We don’t eat out often, but when we do we choose here, we usually order to go.. and it’s a miserable experience every time. The manager is not pleasant, very rude, charges way too much on the to go orders like we are stupid. We have a friend from up north in town this weekend so we ordered our food and his. Therefore I asked for extra chips and salsa because he is staying in a hotel room, the manager charged us an extra $10. $5 for 4oz of salsa and $5 for the bag of tortilla chips.. I was mind blown. Especially since our total was already $70 so we paid $80.. they do have good food. Which is the only reason we have kept ordering but after tonight we will not be back, we will try the New Mexican in town. We have sat down one time and ate, food and service was good. The manager/owner is just not a pleasant man. Depends on the day I guess. No Mexican restaurant I’ve ever known from down south to up north charges extra for salsa and chips..

This place was great! An unexpected stop along our way lead to great, cheap eats! We got an entire platter for less than the cost of a Taco Bell order. The bean dip that came along with chips and salsa was a pleasant surprise. Very satisfied and would definitely recommend.

I was here on a cold and blustery Sunday afternoon after attending church with my daughter. I asked my server if they served hot tea. He graciously told me they did not have hot tea. I then informed him I would just have iced tea. When he brought our drinks to the table I felt so blessed. He had heated a large quantity of tea to the perfect temperature and brought it to my table along with a tea cup and lemon wedges. Now that’s what I call service that goes above and beyond. My tea was much needed and my meal was fabulous.

This is the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been in. We loved this restaurant from the moment we saw the colorful decor! The complimentary tortilla chips were served with salsa and also refried beans. I love refied beans and these were the most flavorful, and a little spicy, that I’ve ever tasted!! I’d return just for that. I had the sopes appetizer as my dinner. I’m vegan (though I’m not sure if those beans were) so I had refried beans, cabbage and guacamole on them. They are served with a delicious red sauce. I could not stop eating them because they were so flavorful! My husband had Texas Fajitas. He’s picky and often says his food needs a little something. Not tonight! They were perfect and he remarked how much meat there was as many times fajitas are mostly vegetables! We ate beyond what was comfortable but it was just that good. Our server was helpful and friendly. We spoke with the owner to compliment his wonderful restaurant. He was very friendly as well. We will definitely be back during our two-month stay in Jefferson! I don’t even want to try anywhere else! I am their biggest fan!!
