We love the personal pizzas at River Eatery! There are so many excellent combinations and the crust is TO DIE FOR They have a few salads to accompany the pizza (we loved the Greek salad with lightly ROASTED tomatoes?!) and it’s nice that the portion sizes have increased under new management. The fact that the restaurant is connected to a bookstore is extra sauce on the pizza pie. Speaking of pie, save room and go next door to have a slice of Tilly’s Pies It’s truly better than homemade! PS.. The restaurant gets very busy on summer nights and event weekends. Puts the nice selection of microbrews to good use.

We had a great pizza sitting outdoors on the patio with our dogs. Great beer and I highly recommend the Spirit Creek pizza if you like pulled pork And the Siskiwit Salad was awesome.

One of our very favorite spots for a meal in the greater Hayward area. Customer service has always been superb. Good variety of beers on tap. Pizzas are delicious. Salads fresh and made with quality produce. The gift/bookshop at the front of the building is adorable too — I always find something there. Make sure to check out the pie place next door as well.

What a fun spot! Our family all loved our experience here. An outdoor tether ball area, nice outdoor seating, great staff and selections. It is tough to find anywhere in this area of WI that offers gluten free options. Thanks! We will be back.

We had salads and pizza when we ate here. The salad was simply amazing. The lettuce was crisp, the dressing was homemade and the bread was one of a kind. The pizza was gourmet. We were very impressed with the gluten free crust that is very hard to find let alone in a gourmet pizza.

Delicious, but not so inexpensive pies w limited proteins (Tuscan) just got a little more expensive with an overwhelmed but adjusting new ownwership & staff struggling a bit to serve the floods of folks following the deservedly stellar track record here. Still the best pizza you’ll find outside of Chicago. Go early. Or late. For now. They’ll get better; be patient

Stopped here on our way into the woods, lots of reading material, guidebooks and a few souvenirs. Coffee shop / book store vibe with a pizza joint in back. Good place to stop for a last minute flora guide or camp read. I’ll be back next time I’m up camping in this area.
