I want to state that I was recommended to come here for the best sushi in Marion, and I will say that this is true. The sushi is outstanding and the price is also very fair for the quality and quantity. However, where it basically fell down for us is the long wait. We were seated right away and it did not seem to be very busy. There were a steady stream of online orders which is great, but they seemed to be the priority vs. customers like us who were actually seated at the restaurant waiting on our food. We ordered a fairly modest order for 3 of us, and it took 38 minutes for the food to arrive and we had to ask how much longer which we really hate to do. The server was great at the beginning and after we got our food but seemed to forget about us during that 38 minutes we waited. To be offered an appetizer would have been more than fair even if we paid for it. We certainly should have been given warning that it would take so long. Again, the food was excellent, the service was decent once the food arrived at the table, and the price was very fair. In the future we agreed we would return, but would order our sushi ahead of time and not bother eating at the actual sushi bar (which is a shame really).

This place is great, Chef T is incredible. Nice, funny, talented, the works. My brother had a birthday there and didn’t want the birthday treatment so we kept quiet. T must’ve caught wind of this because as he finished our food and walked off, he leaned in and whispered “happy birthday” to him. Every Japanese Steakhouse should aspire to have a chef like T working for them. Whatever they’re paying him, it isn’t enough!

This is the worst service I’ve gotten in a while from anywhere. I was there Sunday afternoon with a group of friends. We were rushed through our entire meal and then the staff would stare and talk about us because we didn’t leave right away. This is very poor service for paying customers. We had a guy sever and he kept telling me to hurry up and eat my food while I was talking to a friend. I don’t know why they were making a big deal because the restuarant was soooo empty.
