Let me start by saying what I liked- the service was good and the place seemed well kept and clean. Unfortunately the food was subpar. The best part was my grouper but everything else was pretty pitiful for the price. The Mexican rice had an uncanny resemblance to Uncle Ben’s. This business has so much potential- great vibe, great location, they just need someone in the kitchen that has passion for cooking because based on what we were served, it’s not there.

Fantastic gourmet food at good prices. Everything we ordered was flavorful and our server was busy yet attended to us in a timely fashion. Our seafood was fresh and well seasoned. The tamales had a delicious filling. I loved the enchiladas and the jalapeno margarita the most. These are truly traditional recipes made right! I will be back!

Would have given 5 ⭐️’s because the food was great, but we were handed a lunch menu and ordered from it and when the bill came, we were charged dinner prices. I asked the server about it and she said that she accidentally gave us lunch menus, and that they don’t serve lunch on Sunday. ‍♀️ So the manager came over and said “sorry” (she didn’t care) and wouldn’t honor the lunch prices. Poor management skills in my opinion. Also, just a side note about atmosphere….three servers had their butts parked on the bar stools and were watching the tv above the bar.

Don Jockey’s in Midway, Ky is the best, Mexican food! The food is delicious, salsa is made fresh daily, street corn was really yummy too. The margaritas come in a clay pot rimmed in salt. $9 for small…..but excellent!! The server, Lisa was super friendly,fun, and a joy to interact with.

My friend and I ate here after a doctor appointment in April. We ate outside under the covered tables and the weather was lovely. My friend ordered nachos and I ordered the vegetarian quesadilla with a side of guacamole. The food was incredible, fresh and cooked perfectly. Our server was attentive and kind. We will definitely eat here again!

First timer from out of town visiting my family. They had heard good reviews and recommended that we give it a try. We ordered guacamole and chips for an appetizer. The guac and salsa were very good. The chips are made to order but had a slight oily taste that I thought took away from the flavor. We had the chicken and beef fajitas combination platter for our entree. The seasoning they use was really flavorful and really stood out. Added a side of street corn. Definitely would recommend.
