I came here for a taco salad before a show. The food was disappointingly watery and devoid of flavor, despite the many topping choices. Unlike the gleaming spotless convention center, this gritty little shop is dingy and painted in garish colors. The service was also a letdown; the unenthused man behind the counter did not seem happy to be there working alone at the end of the day. Kind-of depressing all around. I’ll choose another place next time.

This place fails on a lot of levels. The burrito was simultaneously bland and incredibly salty and the rice was sour…. How do you fail at tacos, especially when you’re named Taco Del Mar?? The strawberry banana smoothie had exactly 1 strawberry and a buttload of bananas. It was actually a banana smoothie and tasted disgusting. When asked if they could put more strawberries, the preparer glared at us and said “strawberry BANANA smoothie!!”. …. Would not recommend.

A favorite go to when I’m at the convention center. The tacos, burritos, and quesadillas are classic. They also have smoothies which are delicious. Fast and friendly service every time I go. Can’t remember a time I’ve been disappointed with the food even if I have to wait a while during a large convention. Even if you’re just downtown hanging out, it’s a great place to grab a quick bite.

One of the best places for lunch in and around the convention center. Food is always fresh, workers are very polite and obviously do their best for customers. Only reason it did not get 5 stars is because overall the food isn’t very flavorful, but because this is the only location I’ve been to, I don’t know if this is how others are.

Fish in the friday special fish taco looked and tasted like cold fried frozen fish sticks. The tortilla and veges were fresh looking and tasting however. Chicken quesadilla was warm and fresh but no taste. Being in such a large convention center i would hope that it would have been better fast food. Also price wasn’t that bad.

Just went there a moment ago and when I walked in she (larger Hispanic woman) ignored me for about five minutes. Didn’t even acknowledge my presence by saying “Hi, I’ll be with you in just a minute”. Then when she finally acknowledged me, she asked what tortilla I wanted, I said flour. Then she asked if I wanted sour cream or guacamole, I said both. After that, she immediately went and scooped rice on my burrito before I could tell her I wanted it on the side along with the beans. So when I corrected her mistake she got an attitude with me (I could see it in her facial expression and tone of voice). Near the end when I was about to pay, I gave her my debit card but then immediately after I said “Oh wait I have cash” (cause I was thinking businesses get charged per swipe so I was trying to save them money) and she completely ignored me and swiped it anyway, even though I knew she heard me. Then I had ask for a receipt and she set on the counter instead of handing it to me, despite having my hand out. She was rude and unprofessional.

Went to go eat at 3:45pm on a Sunday, doors were open and sign said open….female behind the counter was very rude and said “I’m closed” with an attitude. When asked why since sign said open and door said didn’t close until 6pm she again was very rude and replied “Well I said I’m closed” I know it was Sunday but level of hostility was not needed. Why would I spend my hard earned money where customers are treated this way? No one else should either.
