Absolutely outstanding first time I have ever been here and will definitely try to be back while I don’t not live in Lubbock it would be a stop to make while In Lubbock. The best personal calzone I have ever eaten came in right at closing time [@7:58] they close at 8:00 and the owner was like you can come on in and I will serve you. We got the original calizone and was a 10 out of 10 Definitely want to go back and try their Pizza. This is service how service should be done and Pizza as Pizza should be done. The owner himself came to the table with the order and then came back to make sure everything was OK real Top Notch

I’m not in Lubbock as much as I was but found this little gem which made cauliflower crust pizzas only in small but it was only me eating. I ordered the supreme specialty pizza and salad. The salad was simple romaine lettuce with cheese tomatoes and Kalamata olives. I would’ve preferred the lettuce in smaller chunks but it was still filling! The pizza was fantastic with loads of toppings (how I like it) I want to say that Dario was in the back making lots of dough and was up front making the pizza and then delivered it himself to my table! This is a great place for friends to come eat or even a date night. Highly recommend!!

Updated review 5.27.23 – Dario cooks from his heart and is one of the hardest working men I know. Freshly made calzones and delivered to the table by the man himself!!! A piece of heaven!! Best calzones ever! Crust was flaky, not tough. Just the right amount of sauce, meat and cheese. Thank you Dario!!

Quick update, we ordered a carryout, and my wife said extra sauce and extra cheese. When you order from a chain store, you do this, or you get a cardboard circle with red and white speckles. When it was ready, the owner brought it out and said he wanted to show us. It was like Christmas jello! A small tear came to my eye. It might have been from the jalapeño, we may never know. It was the absolute best pizza we ever ate. It was like a Chicago style flipped upside down. The amazing part was that the crust was crisp and perfectly chewy like it should be. Only someone working real pizza ovens who know how to place and when to rotate the pizzas can do this. The man is a gifted pizza genius.

We visited Dario’s for dinner. The food was delicious as usual. We had the chance to speak with the owner for a while. This confirmed our thoughts of his passion to provide excellent food and service. Dario is always listening to the order and is always ready to provide exactly what you want. My strict diet calls for no gluten, and I felt like I could never enjoy pizza again! However, Dario’s changed that for me! Out of all the pizza restaurants in Lubbock, they have the best gluten free pizza option in town! I personally enjoy the cauliflower crust margarita pizza! This is the best pizza & calzones in town! There is on occasion a wait but the pizza is well worth it. Dario is a one man crew, the only cook, he works hard to get his delicious handmade pizzas & calzones out as fast as possible. Just be patient, the food is delicious.

Dario makes a mean calzone! The best in Texas no doubt! Since leaving Lubbock, I’ve been on a mission to find another calzone place, but nowhere even comes close. Dario cooks with true class and heart and it’s always great to grab a bite when we are back in town.
