I always stop here for my Italian when in the area. Usually once or twice a year and I have always enjoyed it. My ham Italian on this visit was good but slightly soggy. Had a lot more pickles than usual so I figure that is probably why. My husband had the godfather and had no complaints at all. Will keep returning!

I’m not a huge fan of this food. There is never enough cheese on the pizza and the sandwiches are sloppy. The service on State street is very good they are always nice. When you walk into Hammond street it’s very uninviting and they quickly want you out. My mother asked for some salt and pepper and parmesan cheese for her slices and the guy acted as if she was a bother. We won’t be returning to Hammond. I remember the food years ago being absolutely delicious, it has certainly gone downhill.

The BEST pizza in Bangor! We’ve been going here for pizza since I was a kid, and they still have the best pizza in town. The crust is perfect; crispy on the bottom, chewy and delicious. Generous with toppings and fast and friendly service. We’ve tried other places to compare, and Papa Gambino’s is still our favorite!

$10 for a slightly charred small two topping pizza. It’s still pretty good pizza, but it’s almost 25% more expensive than other local pizza joints, and frankly, the quality isn’t there to justify it. I’ve come back periodically over the years to give them other chances, and they never fail to leave me a little disappointed.

The best, most authentic, fresh Italian foods you can get in Bangor. The aroma when you walk through the doors is absolutely intoxicating. A true cornerstone in the history of the area. A great place to snag a delicious sub, pizza, salad, or stromboli. My family has been eating there for the past 30 years . A must-have for those visiting the Bangor Brewer area.
