There’s two parts to this review. First, the positives are that the service was excellent. The nice lady working the drive thru had a very pleasant and positive attitude. She gets five stars on her own. The second positive was the collard greens and mac and cheese. The greens were fresh and not frozen or out of a can, and the mac and cheese had the right amount of black pepper in it, which I personally like. Now for the negatives. If you look at my pics, the plate of food doesn’t look appealing at all. We ordered the two meat plate with ribs and sausage. We also got an order of onion rings. First, the onion rings had way too much breading for my liking. So much so that they were not crispy at all. Second, the two ribs that we received were end cuts from a slab, which, if you know anything about smoked ribs, you know that the ends tend to be a little overcooked. This is why when I worked in a barbecue restaurant, we were instructed not to give out the end cuts. Third, the sausage link seemed to be undercooked. The casing was tough and hard to break. Lastly, the menu stated that every meal was supposed to come with their famous chow-chow and a toasted bun. We received neither. My apologies for the long review, but I wanted to fully express why I gave only three stars. I’m not suggesting that no one should go here because maybe it was an off night, but for me, I don’t think I’m going back.

The absolute best bbq spot in Central MS hands down. The people were friendly and helpful. Everything that we had was great! And it was nice and clean with plenty of tvs to watch while we ate. 10/10

The staff is nice and the food is good. The prices are a little high. I ordered 1/2 chicken plate. The young lady taking my order clearly had no clue how a 1/2 chicken is served. She asked if I wanted it white or Dark meat. I said, “a 1/2 chicken is both”… She still did not understand. I settled on a 1/4 chicken dark meat plate.

We have mostly done carryout. We ate inside once and it was mid-afternoon so I really cannot comment on atmosphere other than restaurant was clean and staff were incredibly fast and friendly. The food that we keep going back to is the shredded smoked chicken, white BBQ sauce, baked beans and potato salad. The food tastes fresh, never greasy and really delicious. It is our Go-To BBQ place now in Madison.

This is a very nice BBQ spot with a sport bar type environment. Second time trying something off of their extensive menu and plan on doing more exploring. 1st visit, walked away with fried catfish, turnip greens, and corn on the cob with actual cornbread muffins. The food was great. 2nd visit, I opted for the pull Chicken Nachos. This was surprisingly good, I was not disappointed at all. Hubby had ribs, which he can’t stop talking about. The BBQ sauce is on point. The only downside was that carrot cake was the only cake option. They do offer several pie options as well for dessert.

Fast friendly service and good food! For the price, my pulled pork BBQ sandwich could have been a little bigger, but it was very good. I recommend you give this place a try. The rest of my family looked like they got plenty of food and also enjoyed. Small plastic cups for extra BBQ sauce would be nice – did not see them anywhere.
