Have had good experiences my previous 3 visits. Last Friday evening they were out of hot dog buns(this is a hot dog destination as they describe it). Terribly understaffed. 57 minutes from order time till serving time. Fries were cold and congealed. Sandwiches pretty good. Beer served in small plastic cups. 57.00 for 2 people. 2 beers each. The only positive about this was the kid trying to hold it all together on his own there.

Pleasantly surprised by the diversity of their menu. Our office enjoyed several different selections. Their outdoor seating with an amazing view of the river is a must do. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

I really enjoyed this cute little spot tucked into an intimate corner of the St. Helens downtown. Despite it nearly being closing, the super friendly server (who was happy to discuss their “nerdy tattoos”) easily handled a party of 8. Big River offers an impressive selection of draft beers and ciders, as well as back of house wine bar, which I will definitely be trying next time around. We were famished from camping on nearby Sand Island (which I also recommend) and satiated ourselves with mountains of chili cheese fries and elote hot dogs, which were ravenously chomped by all. Definitely a must stop spot in the ever evolving St. Helens landscape!

I went there today for lunch when we found that they had Chicago dogs. As a Chicago native I found this food to be very authentic and very delicious. Offers the best Chicago dog in the Portland Metro area. Randy is an amazing host. I can’t wait for their retail to open so I can buy peppers for home.

The only bad thing is the food is very overpriced. I got a Philly, and it was pretty light on meat and veggies. It also did not include any fries or chips and cost 15 dollars. I was a little shocked at the cost of a mediocre sandwich. Next time I’ll ask.

Legit chicago dogs, even my uncle, who was born and raised in chicago agreed it was the best chicago dog he’s had outside of chicago. the hot italian sandwich was delicious as well and austin our server was very informative and helpful. Definitely will be back
