The owners are so kind and very attentive as they wait on you. For the good service alone, I would return. The food presentation was lovely. My only problem was I asked for the #2 spicy level for the Pad Thai, and I think I accidentally got a level 3 or 4. Hot mama! I like spicy food, but it was just too much for me to truly enjoy it. The crab rangoons and the sauce they came with were yummy though. I would definitely return again because they were so nice and the service was great. The food really was good, so next time I’ll just request it not to be spicy at all.

The Rice & Spicy is this little restaurant that produces big bold, flavorful food is just amazing. The food is so good! And we only had two of the dishes. The Duck and basil stir fry, and the combination pad thai. I would say a hidden gem, but if you see the stream of take-out orders, you can tell I am late to the party. I honestly can not wait to go back and try something else. I am getting hungry writing this review 🙂 The service is spectacular. I always talk about the chef. This chef was on fire, so hats off to you! The Rice & Spicy is a must add to you foodie list! I promise they are, if not in the top 10 of the best Thai restaurants in the city!

This is by far the best restaurant I have eaten at in San Antonio. I’m in love with the food there and the service is outstanding. They truly have the best chef on hand. Every time I go there they treat me like it’s my first time there. I don’t do a lot of reviews but when I say I just couldn’t help myself from writing a review for them. This restaurant is a five star restaurant. And now that they got my favorite meal back omg I’m truly hooked for life.

Probably among the best thai food in san antonio. I haven’t tried everything on the menu but I am certainly working on it. Dinner or lunch this is the place to go for thai food, especially for the price.

Great service! If you love basil and Thai you will be in heaven. The food was high quality. The sushi was even amazing. We are from Hawaii so we know good sushi when we eat it. My favorite was fried duck panang curry. Best I’ve had in San Antonio. Thank you!!

Had a great experience and the food was delicious. The pad Thai was on point. You get to select your spicy level. Their Thai chicken wings had a delicious spicy & sweet taste. Their Tom Yum was perfect. This place will definitely be a regular place for us. Service tonight was excellent but only a few customers were dining in, plenty of people stopping for pick up.

We went here after a late night for something filling to eat. We ordered 3 mains and 2 desserts and the bill was $72. Not a bad price but quality definitely lacked here. Maybe because I’ve been to Thailand I have higher expectations, but I’ve had decent Thai food around the world and this fell short. The Pad Thai was not saucy, very very dry and the chicken was way overdone. We each tried it and no one could stomach more than one bite. The crispy duck was also overdone and that was apparently a special. The catfish curry was decent, had a good spice but nothing to write home about. We also got the mango sticky rice, the rice was really stiff, the sauce was ok, and the mango was a bit ripe, but overall edible. I think we’ll be going elsewhere to get our Thai fix.

Really good Thai place close by. Fast and friendly service. Started off with the spring rolls and their peanut sauce was great! Then went on to the California roll and the strawberry roll which was excellent. I got the red curry spicy 2 which wasnt too spicy but next time I will get a level 3. Also got some pineapple fried rice that was ok. All in all we will definitely will be back.
