Came here for an early dinner during happy hour. We got 2 orders of the dynamite roll which was delicious at $2.85 each! For an appetizer we ordered the chicken wings – I wouldn’t recommend them as the flavor is mid. For my main course I got the seafood fried rice and it was pretty tasty with a portion big enough for 2. We also got the general tso’s chicken with a veggie fried rice on the side and it was decent (4/5). Overall great experience and I’d come back for a quick bite. Sushi was the best part by a landslide.

Wanted to try out their karaoke room because I have never been. You have to call in advance to reserve a room, and it is a non-refundable $15. It does not go towards the food/drinks you order when you are there. The service was okay, and I can tell our waitress was trying her best to attend to us, but it was hard because the bell in the room did not notify her when we needed her. It was broken so she had to come check in on us on her own while she had to tend to other tables in the dining area or we just leave our room and ask for her. The room looked outdated and dirty…floor was sticky and seats looked run down. The food was not good at all. We tried to eat it but couldn’t so the majority of it went to waste. I believe I got food poisoning from the sashimi special platter. I felt so terrible the next day. I was miserable. The presentation of the dishes looked really pretty, but it did not taste right at all. I only gave this place two stars instead of one because of the service. I really wanted to like this place, but sadly, I did not and will not be returning.

The service was great, our server was fun and friendly. We ordered SO MUCH FOOD! The sashimi plate specials are definitely the way to go if you enjoy sashimi. I love sushi but I can never remember which roll is which. The udon noodles are delicious and tender, so good I didn’t even get a picture before I ate them. Same goes for the crab Rangoon and egg roll, but heads up they do not have spicy mustard. They also have karaoke which is hosted in private rooms in the back. For that I would ask a server or the front desk before you get seated because you do need to order at least $20 of food or beverages per person to reserve a room. We plan to do that one night.

We stopped in for a to go order! Adam helped us with enthusiasm and great energy,so we decided to dine in because he had such an incredible personality! He helped us with what to order! We are from out of town, and enjoyed all the food especially the Lava roll! Thank you Adam! If we get that way again you’ll be our first stop!

Well after reading reviews and experiencing the bar gave them a two star because bartender was nice. They didn’t know how to make a 7and 7.

We got a karaoke room. Our waitress could not bring drinks fast enough it was faster to go to the bar myself. Spent the first 30 min waiting for beer only to find out there were out the kind we ordered.

We don’t eat sushi but this place has so much more to offer. Had General Tso’s Shrimp and it was perfect with a little hot kick. Great service but maybe because we were some of the only people in there. The restaurant is in a huge building with other business and maybe apartments or offices above? The eatery could easily be overlooked on St. Charles Ave.

Stayed across the street for FEST and this place was convenient for a late Sunday dinner, which reservations were not required. If you are a fan and veteran of Asian food…this is not your place. As impressive as the menu is, most items were tough to get down…if you are just in need for fuel to remain upright….the full bar might help your digestion.

I used to love Poseidon for the simple fact that it’s one of THE ONLY places open late enough in New Orleans to satisfy an after hours hunger attack or late night craving with something more substantial than fried chicken or gas station finger foods; but rather, halfway decent sushi and even chargrilled oysters if your in the mood for something decadent. But last night I was really rubbed the wrong way by my pick up order experience. I was excited to find that after 1030pm the poke i was craving was actually attainable, with a menu description of seaweed salad, mango, eel, salmon, tuna and asparagus . I arrived early and decided to have a look at the menu they had at the register while waiting. After reading the description I added a green salad to my order: “spring mix, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, ranch or ginger dressing” i asked if I could have one of each dressings which they quietly charged me extra for… When i got my order i drove straight home (about 15 mins) eager to sit down and satiate my grumbling belly, only to find that the “greens salad” was actually a handful of pale iceberg lettuce and nothing more, apart from the single ginger dressing (the upcharged ranch was forgotten). Very upsetting, considering i was looking forward to prefacing my meal with some fresh greens and veggies On to the poke bowl, it was slightly small but the fish was fresh enough. The “mango” however was some kind of dehydrated, or previously frozen mango chunks that had been thawed/rehydrated into a flavorless sponge like substance. When i called to inform the manager about my disappointing salad he told me it’s because they ran out of tomato and ‘could i just eat it that way?’ How about before handing someone their order u disclose that fact rather than sending them home with something that is not even close to what was advertised?? I explained i was already across town and tired, and could they just offer me a credit for another time but he told me I must keep the salad and bring it back for an refund. Needless to say I am annoyed and will probably be while before i visit them again especially considering the 15 drive uptown is hardly worth the $6 refund. I would not recommend going to this place for poke or any kind of fresh salad, however i stand by their chargrilled oysters and late night sushi if its the only thing open.
