Visiting from NY, and were driving to visit family in Orange City.. decided to stop for lunch along the route , and were NOT disappointed at Stumpy’s!! Great breakfast buffet, the homemade chips were incredible, and the tenderloin sandwich was bigger than my husband’s hand! Owner was super friendly too, overall an excellent stop. Highly recommend!

Headed from Iowa City to Sioux City for a college visit for my son. The decision of the group is everyone is in the mood for burgers. Road Tripper app and Google Maps both have this listed as an incredibly highly rated stop. COULD NOT AGREE MORE!! We all shared some appetizers (jalapeño cheese curds, Stumpy bites – pork tenderloin, and jalapeño poppers) and both kids got burgers that were according to them “in the top 5 burgers they’ve ever had!” I had the Tip Gun burger – Texas Toast, hash brown, egg, sautéed mushrooms and peppers. Cooked perfectly to medium. Incredible beef mix making up the handcrafted burger. Simply delicious.

Had to find gas off the interstate quick. Headed to the nearest town in view. Got lucky and found fuel and great food. Had the tenderloin with homemade chips . It was delicious.

I have had many burgers and this is the best one I have ever had. I am disappointed that the fries were not that great, there was no fountain pop, and the cheese curds were pretty good. All pale in comparison to how good the burger was and will stop here eveytime I’m passing through.

Stumpy’s burgers, Patty made when you order, home made buns and chips are by far the best hamburger we’ve ever tasted. Generous drinks, delicious food and friendly atmosphere. A must stop on our travels from MT to IN.
