Peppers is a must try for Mexican food in Skagway! Some of the better Mexican food I’ve had in Alaska, and it’s hidden here in this dope red bus. The guys taking my order were super friendly. I had the beef burrito and my wife had the lime chicken bowl, both of which were delicious. It’s a little pricey… but you get a LOT of good food for it.

Johnathan is originally from Tennessee and told me he was a chef down there for 20+ yrs and let me tell you, this dude knows his flavors. I didn’t expect to find good Mexican (fusion) food in Alaska but this is a must try if you are on a cruise or just visiting Skagway. It’s not authentic so don’t expect an entire elote slathered with mayo and cotija but it’s delicious nonetheless.

Wow. Check out this place. It’s was refreshing just to get a different taste for cruise food! We had the two tacos and a side. Chorizo and shrimp tacos and street corn. They were amazingly fresh and just hopped with flavor. The street corn had a cheese twist, which made it pop. The owner came out and spoke to all patrons like you were at a 5-star restaurant. Do yourself a favor and don’t pass up the Red Bus!!!!!

Tremendous tacos and elotes. The guys here truly know how to make some killer food. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that some of the best tacos I’ve had in my life would be in Skagway, Alaska… but here we are! If you are in the neighborhood, please stop by, the quality and taste of the food is truly spectacular, and it’s clear that the owner has a real passion for making delicious food. Highly recommend. If you have time to do only one thing in Skagway, make it a stop at the red bus!

We stopped for tacos (I had pulled pork) and a side. My husband had a burrito bowl. The food was amazing, especially the street corn. Would definitely recommend, and certainly prefer this little old red street bus to the cheesy tourist traps. The Only complaint, which is so minor compared to the excellent food and friendly service, is the lack of seating. We all stood around a large table, but was kind of uncomfortable in the hot, direct sun. Given that rain is frequent, a tent might be nice to protect from the weather while dining. But that is easily overlooked when you taste that first bite.

Took this hunka hunka out up on the mountain, every bite was flavorfully satisfying.. Didn’t need seconds because it filled me up so good. Service ladies & chefs were delightful, thank you for your graces!

Got off the train at about 7pm and went on the search for dinner. Both choices were delicious and generous portions. Mini bowl with the beef was great and the cilantro lime chicken tacos was also great, couldn’t go wrong. We kept switching back and forth.

Excellent taco stand. Had chorizo and chicken tacos. Sides of beans and street corn. Great ingredients and simple street style tacos. They of course have a couple of other things too. But all I have eyes for are tacos.

This is some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! Stopped here in Skagway as part of the Princess cruise line, needed somewhere quick to eat before an excursion. I got the chorizo tacos with the elote, it was delicious, especially the pickled onions!
