I was put up at the Pirennial Club and this was right across the street in Daytona Shores. The prices were great and I joined their text club and got an extra 10% off :). The sandwiches were awesome and of course the bbq items were as they should be… rocking. Very pleasant staff and a little laid back. I almost want to throw a monthly South Daytona NETWORKING EVENT there to bring some energy there that matches the food!

Very friendly in a layed back atmosphere. Portions were good. 3 full biscuits in their biscuits and gravy, nobody does that around here. The grilled toast was a nice touch, nobody does that either. We eat local every where so we know. They just started the breakfast deal so go check them out.

Overall a good experience. Server actually greated me at the door and opened it as i walked up. Very friendly and very attentive. I had the combo plate (pulled chicken & pulled pork). In my opinion the chicken was a little bit better then the pork but both were good. Sides were slaw, fries, and garlic toast. All were very good. The portion size was surprisingly large as you can see from the picture. I would definitely go back.

Delicious!! I ordered the pulled pork sandwich to go, w/potatoe salad on the side. The pulled pork was perfect… a heavy helping of tender pork, with a slight undertone of smoked flavor, topped with a sweet-tangy BBQ sauce, & coleslaw, on Texas toast. The potato salad was like my Mom’s.. (needless to say I loved it) big chunks of potatoes & just the right amount of mayo! I had never been here before, so I ordered @ the bar upon entering, the servers were very helpful with my questions & food was ready quickly.

Amazing food, the service was really good and the server was very chipper. The portions here are big enough that if you leave hungry you left most of your meal on the table. I ordered a 2 meat tray and below are the what was left after I ate the delicious corn, onion rings a 1 piece of toast.. it is enough for a whole other meal. I don’t post my opinion often unless things are really good or really bad.. this place needs more than 5 stars..

Decent bark, but overall bad flavor. Tasted more like peppercorn beef jerky than bbq. Little to no smoke flavor, and very dry. The people who were working were so sweet, though. The bbq sauce they make is a little to salty. Overall was pleased with the people and not the food.

So glad we stumbled upon this new restaurant in Daytona Beach Shores. First of all, whoever says the food is frozen must be really confused about bbq because this had a fresh smoky flavor and the waitress (the owners daughter) told us all about how they smoke their meats and the different specialities they offer. Both the chicken and pork were absolutely delicious and plentiful. The house BBQ sauce was a great addition and the sides were incredible and huge servings. The BBQ Beans are definitely the best I’ve ever eaten out. I only wish we would have found it earlier during our vacation so we could have tried more items from the menu. If you’re looking for delicious BBQ and fast, friendly service definitely give Strouds a try! You WON’T be disappointed!

Convenient location, nice staff. Food was a solid 3.2/5. I got a pulled chicken platter, baked beans and fries. Chicken flavor was good, but was extremely dry. Almost had the texture of crock pot chicken. We got an appetizer of fried pickles, and they seemed to be made in house and were wonderful!! The toast was also really good. I wish I could rate higher, but it is a BBQ joint so the meat quality was a big turn off for me. Will be returning to try again, also saw they had breakfast.

Our first visit we had a delicious lunch with large portion sizes. Polly did a great job serving us. We ordered the chicken killer potato and the hamburger steak platter. The baked beans had a bit of heat and were full of pulled pork. We’ll be back soon!
