We went here for the first time this evening & I was super happy. We had a beautiful view overlooking the sound. The fried oysters were phenomenal! My husband loved his stuffed flounder & the shrimp and grits were pretty good as well. I really wish the short rib was in stock, I definitely wanted to try that. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Sat outside. Beautiful evening out. Patio is very dated with plastic furniture. Planters with no or dead plants. You’d think spending $100+ for a dinner for two, it would be a nicer patio. Food was good, service was ok.

Pleasantly surprised by how good this place was! We brought our 10 month old on a Monday night. Got oysters and Brussels sprouts apps, shrimp and grits and steak for dinner- everything was cooked well and portion sizes were excellent as we had leftovers. Service was wonderful- friendly, attentive staff. We’ll be back!

1st off I was seated tonight at 6 pm 30 minutes after open and they had no spare ribs my 1st choice. So I ordered the crab stuffed flounder with rice and asparagus. I can tell you this ladies & gentlemen I was highly disappointed in the portions that were rendered! The flounder was tiny at best! I’ve gotten popcorn shrimp bigger than the 3 small pieces of flounder served to me! The sauce the rice was in tasted like Campbell soup mixed with rice. I got 4 straggly pieces of asparagus. For the price they want for this meal the juice is definitely not worth the squeeze!!! This establishment was a complete let down! I should not walk out of that place still hungry! Also the upstairs dining was hot!!! Turn up the A/C!!!!

Excellent service, food is out of this world. Try the Shrimp and Grits (the house specialty) and the Scallops. Make a reservation in advance as the restaurant fills up quickly. We will surely return the next time we are in the Topsail area.

We asked to move to a table for two by the windows for my wife’s birthday-we were told no they were reserved and no one came to sit at one of the tables for the hour we were there. We ordered a mixed drink that we had to remind them twice to get the drink and it was finally brought after we finished our meal. The crab dip was extremely salty- the filet was burnt and $5 for 3 rolls was completely unbelievable. The worst was the way we were treated the waitress looked at us like we were trash, we watched her service other tables she was hospitable, and she spent a lot of time with them. This was a special evening for us but treatment at this establishment did not deliver. What a disappointment – don’t go and waste your money at this restaurant.

We have been to Beauchaines many times. Tonight was a bit of a disappointment. We ordered appetizers, main course and dessert. Below are my thoughts.

Food was excellent! High quality food, prices comparable with presentation, flavor, and overall excellence. Seating was cheap- didn’t match overall atmosphere. Waitstaff was friendly and professional but seemed displaced. This place has more potential than it shows. Atmosphere and staff does not dress the part for the quality of food served. It’s trying too hard to be upscale with a beach theme? Not sure. Worth going to, just has a confusing atmosphere.

We got the scallops & scampi and shrimp patty & grits. I’m always skeptical of fancy places grits. I don’t like boujee grits, I like down home grits. They have mastered the finesse of making these grits boujee but keeping that down home flavor *applause*

The place looked like it was from the ’80’s. The server was great, but the food was not good at all. I’m not very picky, & I usually give people some slack… if that helps you understand where I’m coming from. The shrimp & grits had a funny flavor to them, & the shrimp were frozen & then overcooked. Even the Cheesecake was awful! Then to add the extreme prices on top of that… it’s simply insane. I wouldn’t even eat here if the meals were free.
