We offer muffins, scones, cookies; as well as parfaits, chicken salad, & panini sandwiches! We are located in a beautiful historic building.

Our staff of trained baristas strive to always pull the perfect shot, to steam & pour the most velvety milk foam for your favorite cup of coffee. Opelousas, LA. You can sip a fine brew in their ancient bank vault area that looks like a jail cell or join those working remotely in the front room. Free limited parking on the side or in front of this cute corner shop. Businesses that offer well-crafted coffee are extremely limited in this town so if you’re passing through this is worth the drive—-plus there is a courthouse across the street that has beautiful landscaping, local artists’ artwork with a Louisiana flair, murals and statues.

I needed to get out of my home and so I started searching for places to go outside of my city/parish. I can not tell you how happy and elated I am that I was led to this beautiful and quaint coffee shop! Java Square Cafe is a spot I will return to whenever I have time. Awesome vault room and the atmosphere here is so amazing. I’m sitting here now as I type this just watching the cars go by with the coffee shop music in the background. Enjoy a coffee date, homework, computer business work, etc. This place is one to get it done! Not to mention, I was greeted with a smile throughout! Service is on point!

I visited Java Square on 2 different occasions these past 2 months. Yesterday Friday evening around 4:30, I walked in and found the worker sweeping. Fine. He goes behind the counter to take my order. I would like to talk to the owner about the rest of my visit and not put it here.

Java once was amazing. Best coffee around! A place I frequented 2-3 times/week. I’m not sure what’s going on, but the last handful of times I’ve ordered various coffees to go within the last 2 months have been very disappointing. The red eye I ordered was cold on one occasion and on another the Fredda didn’t even have coffee in it. I ordered an extra espresso shot which wasn’t in it. My daughter’s fredda tasted old and watered down. I hope they get back up and running as old times soon so I don’t have to hit up McDonald’s McCafé anymore…

Me and my wife used to enjoy the coffee drinks here. The Fredda’s used to use a double shot of their espresso beans but now it’s some “coffee powder” which is weak AF. Whomever runs the business also promised that loyalty points were not going to expire but that too is a lie. So unprofessional and discourteous to the customer base thinking they will save a buck by sneaking the changes in. I’m not going to be doing business here again…
