Giving this place 5/5 stars is shortchanging it. It’s the best lunch in Wilmington and for more reasons than one. The staff is fantastic, attentive, and very friendly. The manager, Michael, along with his cast of waiters and waitresses, are very personable and everyone greets me by name when I visit for lunch. The food belongs on the Food Network. Everything is done perfectly and in a way that makes it unique from anything else that you’ll taste in Southeast NC. Even the mac and cheese has a slight hint of Indian food that’s to die for. The interior is clean, very well decorated, and air conditioned. The bar looks like a place you will sit at and order a Tom Collins while you chat with your friends. The outside has the scenic Bluffs neighborhood casting the perfect backdrop around three very relaxing outdoor eating venues. My favorite thing to do is visit here at lunch and enjoy the Banarama smoothie while I read my book outside. When my meal arrives, I stow my book away and I enjoy my food while I watch the breeze sway in the trees, hoping to see a large gorgeous black squirrel that calls the Bluffs courtyard home.

Took a friend here for her birthday today. Loved the location! The food was very good, had a Reuben and potato salad. Broke down and got dessert, one of the best banana puddings I have ever had! The host was delightful and the waitstaff were great. Give it a shot. Off Castle Hayne Road.

A hidden gem! This restaurant is located in the community of River Bluffs. If someone hadn’t taken me there for my first visit I would have never known it was there. Glad I do now. It is open to the public and easy to access. Great sandwiches, salads, and daily specials with a full bar.

The food,staff,and management are top notch. Went there with family on a late luncheon. The manager came to our table and was very friendly funny and courteous. It was also very professional that after our meal the main chef came to our table and wanted us to share our experience with him on the food level a definite 10 great place go check it out.

Delightful place to have stumbled upon. You can tell how high the ingredient quality is by the delicious taste of each item. The potato salad with fresh dill is just as stellar as their perfectly put together sandwiches. Too bad we live 7 hours away, but will definitely make it part of our trip each time we’re down here.

I’ve been going here a lot for lunch. It’s a really nice place to grab a bite to eat. The food is great if you like sandwiches or salads. They also make really good smoothies. It’s nice that its never overly crowded and its kind of hidden away from the popular areas people typically go. I highly recommend it.

No waiting for tables. It was awkward for one of my group cause she’s in a wheelchair. Someone had parked blocking the way to the ramp. We waited and they finally moved it. The waitress was nice enough. Had to ask someone else for extra ice. Their sweet tea is not sweet. The food was really good. I got a make your own salad. Dessert was really good.

Went there on a whim to try a new restaurant. It seems to be part of the River Bluff community in Castle Hayne, very lovely setting. Lovely restaurant, expansive windows, patio seating, ding room and a wide front porch where we sat for a bit before leaving. The food was exceptionally good, lunch offered flavorful options. My favorite go to lunch spot, especially because its so close to my office. The service is great, the food is on point and consistently so. Most importantly, when I’m in the mood for a good dessert, I am almost certain I am going to find it at PORCHES. Farm to table, done right, every time… doesn’t get any better.
