We enjoyed dining here at Al’s Pizza Shop. They offered a good variety of toppings for your pizza. They also offer beer or wine products as well as regular non-alcoholic beverages. The food was tasty. We ordered and shared a calzone. It was huge. The crust was fluffy and a bit sweet. It was delicious. Our dinner was served quickly. Our service was great! The server was friendly and courteous. This restaurant is clean, and the ambiance is nice. They have music playing and several TV’S. They offer outdoor seating, too.

Ordered a half plain and half mushroom pizza. Hardly any sauce, any cheese, burnt mushrooms, and crust so thin. Pizza was given cold. Pizza did not rise. Will not be eating there again. Called to explain the issue and the staff didn’t seem to care. Look elsewhere. If you are looking for stail pizza come here! Not worth $14

Our first time visiting Al’s Pizza shop was interesting. The parking situation is iffy due to the poor lighting and limited spaces. The pizza menu is very original while still satisfying the more traditional palate. We sat outside andI ordered The General and a bacon pizza for the kids. The General Tso’s chicken pizza was good, New and original for me. The bacon pizza was a hit among my offspring and they were big fans of the big open outdoor space where they played tag with the other kids that were dining there. Overall the ambiance was very warm, fun and inviting. I can see myself hanging out there with my friends eating pizza and watching TV. Al’s Pizza shop is worth checking out and try something new!

Can’t say I’d recommend this place any longer. They do have great pizza, and the specialty pies are awesome, but their prices are ABSURD. We ordered 4 medium pies (2 regular, 2 gluten free). Our BEFORE TAX total was $83.71!!! We get it; costs are up for everything, but come on, guys. We always look to support our local businesses, but you have to go back to basics here to figure out why you need to charge local/repeat customers $26.99 (this is reflected on our receipt) for ONE medium pie. As I’m typing this I’m remembering it was completely dead in there when we picked up our order so others might be feeling the same way, I don’t know. It’s just unfortunate because this was a great, little San Ann spot. But $89.57 for pizza?! Yea, we’ll pass.

My son and I stopped by Al’s for lunch before a real estate photo shoot on a new listing nearby, and what a good choice that was. The atmosphere was relaxing, the staff was excellent, if it wasn’t raining outside we would have enjoyed the patio too! The pizza had a thin and delicious crust. We had a lunch special (2 slices and a drink for $6) and some boneless, garlic parmesan wings. Yum. When we are in the area next, we will definitely stop by. Maddy and Syd were uber helpful and gave friendly service.
