This place is unique from other Chinese restaurants that I have ever been. The family that owns the place works very hard, they have lots of kids around so you know your business helps a nice family. I had Peking duck before and I highly recommend it. Get a whole duck for more than two people, don’t mess around. Three pot chicken is delicious, green beans are unbelievably delicious. I imagine everything is good. I will return to try it all, God willing. Meals are served family style, which I guess is the traditional Chinese manner. I would seriously question the mental health of any individual who gives less than four stars. If you think this place deserves less stars, please keep your small minded opinions to yourself. Enjoy, this place is awesome.

had the pleasure of dining at this family-run Sichuan restaurant and it was an experience to remember. Being from Toronto, where we have a plethora of good Chinese restaurants, my expectations were high. This place met, if not exceeded, them.

Amazing new addition to the Chinese food scene. We’ve only done takeout and the food has been delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and the restaurant is spacious. The fried fish dishes (Typhoon and Scallion fish) that we tried had a crunchy exterior and the fish was moist. The Peking Duck was flavorful and the skin was crispy. The soups have all been great and the portion sizes here are enough for a few more meals. Looking forward to working our way through the rest of the menu.

If you are looking for authentic Chinese food in South Carolina (I know this is rare) this is the place. I have lived here for 8 years and this is the first place that fits the bill. The staff is Chinese and the food doesn’t disappoint.

Amazing and authentic (not American-ized) Chinese restaurant. Highly recommend going as a group and ordering several dishes for the full effect, but everything on the menu of absolutely fantastic. The service at this restaurant is also very very fast, and you can tell they make every dish skillfully and to order. Will definitely be returning in the future. Absolutely amazing food.

We just came back from eating at Old Li’s Restuarant, a new authentic Chinese restaurant off of Savannah Highway. Being that I’ve been to China 15+ times, I have been BEYOND excited for them to open. To get straight to the point, the food was fantastic. We ordered the string beans, sweet and sour pork ribs with potatoes, the beef with pumpkin (actually zucchini) and the dumplings. This is NOT an american style chinese takeout type of restaurant so don’t be expecting those kind of prices. The average entrees are about $12-$25. They are fresh and perfectly prepared – super authentic. All of the food was amazing and it reminded me of being in China. This is a GEM to have in our area. Yes you’ll say the prices are a little high and yes the menu is not the easiest to get through (I think they’ll adjust that in time), but the food was fantastic. Kudos to them, welcome to West Ashley. We’ll probably be back tomorrow!

Been looking forward to the opening of this restaurant, finally got to try it. It’s an authentic Sichuan restaurant and not your typical overly sweet American Chinese food. They started off with complimentary kimchi & picked vegetables. We had Couple Lung Table ( beef tripes and beef slices, served cold. Spicy and with tons of flavor! ), twice cooked pork (pretty tasty), three cup chicken( good flavor but no Thai basil and it’s bone-in and cut small which my friends didn’t appreciate) and string beans ( great flavor and large portion, should order one for the table to share). Lastly, the presentation is outstanding. And they finished up with complimentary fruit as well.

Our party of 4 went family style at lunch time on Saturday, and loved everything. For starters we ordered spring rolls, egg rolls, cheesy chicken chop. The chicken chop was a lot better than I had imagined, and the egg rolls and spring rolls were pretty standard. For mains we had a half Peking duck which was phenomenal, Kung Pao Chicken which was good, super spicy though so just be aware. The Dongpo pork was my absolute favorite thing, super tender pork belly and a brown sauce. Shrimp fried rice was the best I’ve ever had from any place. Spicy shrimp was a great size lunch special- not as spicy as the Kung Pao but it was just right. We took dumplings to go.
