Our dinner reservations were on a Monday at 7, so it wasn’t too busy. A perfect ambience for a romantic birthday dinner date. We chose the tasting menu for 2 which was 5 courses that were selected by the chef. The food was creatively presented and interestingly tasty. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable of all the courses. We were offered their freshly baked crusty bread with sweet butter. We loved it so much that we asked for more. The courses were from appetizers like Salmon Nigiri, Lamb Empanadas and Grilled Octopus to Pasta choices like Pesto Gnocchi and Seafood Ravioli to Entrées like Grouper and mashed potatoes and Pork-loin wrapped in bacon and lastly the most authentically delectable dessert, the Tiramisu. What a unique and delicious experience to share with your husband, family or friends!

I respect chefs as artists, but going here was uncomfortable for us and we won’t be back. All in all, everything did wind up being delicious, but… my friend and I hoped to do the tasting menu with wine pairing but she’s seriously allergic to seafood. We asked what was on the tasting menu and the server couldn’t tell us because evidently it’s different for every table. Which I would normally think is cool to be surprised, but we asked if we could request no seafood because of her allergy and our server wouldn’t even request it or the chef. We were told that it would be a smattering of different things off of the menu, so I still don’t understand why if there is a legitimate allergy we couldn’t have indulged in the tasting menu with that tweak? I asked if I could change out arugula (because I’ll admit I despise arugula, I think it’s bitter and it makes me choke) in a salad for mixed greens and the server said no, the chef makes all the dishes to complement all of the ingredients in the dish. Okay, that I get. Know about the Chef’s Table everything is “harmonious” and scrumptious, just DO NOT ask for any change WHATSOEVER, even if you have allergies that would require you to break out an Epi Pen.

Ordered the chocolate cream pie for thanksgiving. I guess I should have asked more questions, because this is not what I think of when I think chocolate cream pie. It was definitely chocolate, too much chocolate. In addition to that, the filling was lopsided. I sure do hope I can find someone who likes chocolate enough to eat a few slices. I expected more for $30. Will not be back.

Not a fast food restaurant. No servers belting out a ‘happy birthday’ tune. No monitors with sports, etc. With very cozy and comfortable seating arrangements and low lighting, it is the perfect restaurant for a romantic quiet dinner for two, a whole family dinner, a business meeting or just a time out with friends. Attentive and accommodating service. The “Chef’s Tasting” is a delightful culinary experience. The ever changing varied menu adds to the delight and surprise. The plates are prepared to tantalizing perfection and the presentation is also a work of art. Everyone in our party of 6 had nothing but praise to say. We came away very impressed.

Beans came partially cooked, close to raw. Steak had great flavor but I ordered it medium rare, it came pretty rare. Mashed potatoes were delicious! The demi glace was wonderful. The waitress Haley was very attentive. Basically, a pretty good place but 3.5 stars is max on today’s visit. I may be back. Clean salt and pepper shakers are very impressive!
