I don’t know what happened to this place. The food was always fresh and delicious. I’d always recommend it to everyone I knew in the area. But after the last few times I’ve ordered food here, I can no longer in good conscience recommend them. The food just doesn’t taste fresh anymore. At least, that’s been my recent experience with the battered chicken. I’ve never been a fan of their beef; it was always too… chewy. It tasted as though it was mostly fat. With so many other options in the area, Eastwok just isn’t cutting it anymore. Unless something changes, I won’t be returning.

Can I say I went out of my way to write this review so other people are aware of the type of food they are ordering. I ordered Crab Rangoon, Boneless spare ribs, Chicken and rice soup, sesame chicken with white rice, wontong soup, and chicken Lo- Mein. Let’s start with the spare ribs….they are not ribs! I don’t know what type of meat they use but it is like chewing gum. Next, Chicken and rice soup has NO FLAVOR…this coming from an Army man that eats anything even burnt food. The white rice that came with the sesame chicken was super sticky and tasted weird (hopefully was not expired) and my kids that eat sticky rice often were the first to notice it. The Crab Rangoon had a weird expired flavor to it and none of use ate more than 2 out of that order fearing food poisoning. Lastly, I am sorry but this is a shame of Asian style food. I don’t know how they are getting any type of reviews above 3 stars. I hope the restaurant takes this review as an opportunity to clean house of cooks that don’t belong in that kitchen and management that are not looking at the quality of food leaving this restaurant.

This was the third time eating food from here. The first time it was ok. The second time the shri and broccoli was not edible because the shrimp was over done and hard as a rock. The third time we got shrimp with lobster sauce, and my wife broke out in hives and had to use her inhaler,and had rashes all over. Looks like a new Chinese restaurant is in our future.

So I ordered from the lunch special, sweet n sour shrimp. It was not what I expected. After I removed the fried dough I was able to find 1 shrimp in each dough ring and there were 4. It did not taste good at all,

I know it looks like bugs but I checked. This is the sauce base they use. They couldn’t be bothered to mix it up so I actually had sauce. I have had a couple of good meals but most of them are flavorless. The Fun Mei is salty and flavorless. The General Tsao is soggy which leads me to believe the orange chicken would be the same.

We had the worst experience here after several tries. The food was just nor good. The fried rice was dry and a poor excuse for fried rice. The chicken and Broccoli awful. Dumplings were tasteless. The food was not good. We won’t be back.

My long-time favorite Chinese restaurant got replaced by East Wok now, because the food we ordered was amazing!! We did delivery and the food was still very hot. From now on, this restaurant is my first one if I want Chinese.

Had the orange chicken dinner combo and it was absolutely delicious. It brings me joy to know I finally have a good Chinese restaurant near by. All of their chicken is made with white meat (with the exception of wings) and they have the option for brown rice instead of white. This is great as I normally request white meat and there’s always an upcharge. I’ll definitely be coming back to this place!
