Great authentic food and attentive staff!! Our waitress was sweet, and we also had Chef Hector visit our table with sample Fiesta Shrimp. Yum! Sometimes the best places are the hole in the walls. Happy my hubby did a Google, finding this page with high reviews. Try it out, it won’t disappoint.

My husbands friend recommended the Balsas Burger at Rio Balsas, said it was the best burger in town and boy was she right! 2 beef patties with double cheese, lettuce, tomato and chipotle mayo, 4-5 crispy onion rings on a soft buttery bun, comes with seasoned, crispy fries with a soft center. Just how I like them. I ordered it Medium done and there was no pink and it was still juicy. So unexpected from a Mexican food restaurant. Very filling and I have to agree, the best burger in town. Chef Hector is awesome!

Best Cuban ever!!! The burrito was really big! It was sooo hot in the bar area, and the bartender though nice was very slow, we had to ask for drinks after five minutes, something was wrong with the draft beer so we got bottles. Always loved coming here (12 years running) but service isn’t what it used to be…food is always fantastic!!!

Walked in and noticed that the tables were all dirty. Waiter told us to find a “clean table” and would be right over. Shortly, after another family walked in after us and mind you the waiter walked by us multiple times and completely ignored us!! I realized waiter was already giving the family who arrived after us their drinks and taking their order meanwhile, my family was patiently waiting for almost 20 minutes to order food/drinks. We got up and left and went elsewhere. Oh, and I did over hear they were short on servers which I completely understand and would have waited but the fact that the ignored us was already serving the family that arrived after us is no excuse.

Authentic Mexican fare. Its a small standalone restaurant. Dont get fooled by the size and condition from outside. Very tasty food with some unique dishes. Very good portions. Nice margaritas. Nice staff. You get 2 types of chips.

I had the chimichanga some of the best I’ve ever had. I also had the fiesta shrimp. I can’t even describe how good it was if you want the full experience though tell them to go for Mexican style and don’t hold back because Americans are sissies when it comes to proper spaces!
