District (Ah-beetz) has an Oysters Rockefeller Apizza, it was tasty but will definitely add extra sprinkled cheese to it! The Meatball & Ricotta was good too. So I know the meatball dish will be good. This is New Haven, Connecticut style pizza, oven baked with thin crust. Service was knowledgeable & friendly. The place is huge with plenty of accommodating seating opportunities.

As a fellow business owner across the street from District Apizza (pronounced District Ah-Beets) and knowing Matt’s passion for his new Italian Restaurant, we’ve been anxiously waiting for them to open. The food did not disappoint! And the service was fantastic too. I loved the Meatball Ricotta pizza cooked crispy and delicious in a wood fired oven imported from Italy. Great wood fired pizza. I don’t have experience with New Haven pizza, so if this is it, it’s got my vote. Got a white pizza with broccoli Rabe and spinach. That one was modified for someone who can’t eat meat, and Alaina was great in helping us build that pizza. Also ordered a Deluxe, which was an excellent choice as well. Liked them both so much that we ordered a vegetable pizza to go for the cold pizza test. (it passed, still great the next day!) Beer selection was great, and I was happy to see the Cape Charles brewing IPA on tap. Looks to be a good selection of wine, and I noticed spirits at the bar as well. The space is really nice, with a decent mix of tables as well as seating at the bar. Parking was available in an adjacent lot as well as on street parking. I am looking forward to returning for some more of this pizza.

Saw this place was going to be opening soon and when I saw it was a New Haven style pizza place well it caught my attention because I’ve lived in several places in Connecticut ( New London, East Lyme ) so I’ve had that style of pizza but it was so long ago. And there isn’t really another New Haven style pizza place in this area. Well my mom and Aunt and myself loved our visit there today ( 08-18-23) My mom and I decided on the Supreme pizza because we both love Fresh green peppers , onions , we loved the pork and sausage that was used. My Aunt really enjoyed the eggplant parmigiana. We’re definitely planning on coming back. Our server ALANNA was very courteous, helpful with the menu items, very friendly

Awesome new space for the Railroad District in Norfolk! The food, atmosphere, and space were all 10/10s. In house made pasta noodles, wood fire pizza; everything I tried was very good. Will definitely be back again and again!

Went for dinner within the first 48 hours of the restaurant being open and it didn’t disappoint. We ordered two pizzas and an appetizer of the fried risotto and they were all delicious. I expected the food to take a long time to prepare since the restaurant had just opened but that was not the case. Would love to see a “create your own” option for pizza at some point. The staff were friendly and helpful and the environment felt welcoming. I also appreciate how old finishes were left during renovations of the building (such as the original tile floor) which makes the space unique. Great addition to the Park Place neighborhood!

The space itself is awesome, and I love how they’re using it. I thought the food was both fun and absolutely delicious. The pizza is great and an awesome connection to New England. The staff was super friendly and seemed proud of and excited about their new spot, which I feel is a great trait to have at a neighborhood restaurant. Can’t wait to come back and try more pizza options. Thanks so much!

Came on the recommendation of a friend who said it was good. We had a apps, and a few main courses. It took our server, who was very nice- just not attentive a good 10-15 minutes to take our drink orders and then when he brought them out another 10ish minutes later it took 3 trips before everyone had their drink. My friend across the table from me got several refills before I was offered one while my glass sat empty next to his. They have already started raising prices from what they were last week- we were told because they were increasing portions. Two people got the same pasta dish and got two noticeably different portions. Wasn’t a fan of the arancini. It had an okay crust but inside was bland. The pastas came out Luke warm and the pizza about the same. I’m willing to give it another shot, but they need to do some work on service a flavoring of food.

We visited here today for the first time and we will definitely be returning. I could only give 5 stars but would give more if I could. The pizza is off the chart!! Best pizza I have ever had. Service was great. If you want to experience New Haven pizza or just a new experience, don’t even think about it, make your way to Norfolk now.

Great atmosphere, great food. Very different style pizza for Virginia. The eggplant parm stack was just like how I had it in Italy. 10 out of 10 highly recommend.
