Ok..it’s a tiny little hole-in-the-wall in a strip center- The decor is not it’s main selling point (but at least they tried). The food, however, is AWESOME! Seriously, this is my new favorite fish place in Houston. I went with my wife and we ordered both the 4 fish platter and the 25 fried shrimp platter and split them between us. The shrimp were large and battered perfectly while the fish (catfish) were *huge*, served straight from the fryer and reminded me of the family fish-fry dinners from my childhood. I totally recommend this place and look forward to working my way through the rest of their menu.

We had a really good dinner at Hank’s Cajun Crawfish on Bellaire. The crawfish were huge, meaty and flavorful. We also tried the Charboiled Oysters and some mussels and liked them.

I should have known looking at the dark color that the gumbo would not be good. The baby shrimp was so small that only a child could see it. The crab meat was actually shells for flavor. Only the sausage was at least palpable.

1 lb crawfish minimum.. The seasoning was great! They have a Cajun seasoning shaker and gave us melted butter to season it exactly the way we wanted it! The wings and fries were good too!

The spice on the crawfish is just ridiculous. I asked for mild and it’s extremely to spicy. My child 5 yr old had some and he may have to go to the hospital. This is ridiculous

Visiting Houston for the first time and was referred to this particular “Hanks Crawfish”. I cannot eat crawfish, but they have a wide seafood selection, so I thought to go anyway. I place a to go order for “25 shrimp/1 crab leg”, was advised to wait a few moments before taking my order. Once my order was placed, I waited in the establishment for about 10-15 mins for my food to be done. I leave headed towards the galleria, finally arrive to my destination preparing to consume my meal, only to have a bag full of “craw fish” and a few shrimp sparingly in the bag. I am livid. I called back, they were closing, but I was able to convey to them that my order was completely wrong. The gentleman ask if were close, and I explained that I was in the galleria area. He suggested that I pick through and eat the shrimp and return the crawfish…. What?? I can’t eat crawfish, so I’m definitely not about to pick through crawfish to eat shrimp. This was not the experience that I bargained for. Currently, the crawfish and shrimp are in my refrigerator, I’m going to return the order tomorrow and request a refund, I’ll go to another location. Happy Saturday…

The place is small and the food isn’t very good. My daughter ordered the crawfish and they were over cooked and under seasoned. I ordered the étouffée and it left a lot to be desired. Sorry, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
