Coming from Tennessee I was told I better eat as much BBQ I could before moving down to Tampa because I wouldnt find any down here. Well let me tell you what! They were wrong! This is some of the BEST BBQ I’ve had! Make sure to get the baked beans also if you go there they are life changing!

Being born and raised in Florida, I’ve always critiqued my BBQ (comes with the territory), and I will say this place exceeded any expectation I had. The chicken was phenomenal, the pulled pork was exceptional, and the ribs couldn’t manage to stay on the bone. Not only were their proteins on point, but the sides dominated the pallet as well. The mac ‘n cheese was homemade and gooey, the coleslaw was crisp and fresh, and so on. Please allow The Pit Stop to be the next place you venture for your next BBQ craving. You will not be disappointed!

This review is strictly about portion size and customer service because I have yet to taste the dinner I just purchased. I wasn’t greeted in a friendly manner when I walked in. The woman acted as if she was bothered buy me. I ordered a chicken dinner while telling her I had read reviews on Google which is why I chose this place. She proceeded to make my dinner and the sides of my meal didn’t fill the container. My plate felt so light. However I didn’t say anything. That’s something I can get over but the way I felt while being a patron is it unacceptable. I was the only one there at the time so you would think I would have received better service. The food does look good from this place & it’s literally 5 minutes away from my new job. Due to the poor customer service I received during my visit today I will not return

The ribs are awesome! The meat has a unique consistency and it’s full of flavor. To add bbq sauce, ANY sauce, would be a tragedy. The baked beans are very good as are the collards. I can’t wait to sample the rest of the menu!

My fiancé and I came here for the first time recently and we will definitely be back. He had the chicken and I had the combo platter with ribs and pulled pork. I also had the Mac n’ cheese and coleslaw. Everything was amazing! I usually don’t like Mac n’ cheese, but they have changed my mind! The side of B-B-Q sauce was also delicious! The only thing I regret is not coming here sooner! They will definitely become a staple in our household!

Had a very disappointing cost today. They always accepted debit cards but today They did not have the machine and did not tell me until I got ready to pay. And to spend another 5 bucks to get cash out of the ATM next door. To top it off the guy serving me did not put sauce in my bag so I had none when I got home. Eaten here many time but going down hill in good quality and service on my last 4 visits. Not happy.
