Love love loved this place. I stayed down the street at Hotel Peter and Paul and came here 2x for their coffee. The place is so chill inside and our, and they allow pets inside and yes… there is an orange couch. Delicious coffee. (They also offer handpies, baked goods and gelato.) highly recommend this place

I used to come here religiously while working from home and I just really enjoy the vibe of it. it’s very neighborly and local, which is a nice relief when you live in a touristy city. the service is always great and they offer wifi. another plus is that they have a good amount of seating and outlets for charging your devices!

Quite honestly have never had an experience more confusing and rude than here. My friends and I came in around noon. We were not rowdy nor loud and immediately the barista with the orange glasses and receding hairline had a problem with us. We were given no time to look over the menu before it was obvious he was trying to hurry up and get us out (there was no line at all.) One of our friends asked for a coffee with the chocolate syrup and he said “there’s a detailed menu right there.” And she told him she understood and just told him she wanted a coffee with the chocolate syrup. His response? “Have you ever been to a coffee shop?” Like, I’m sorry she didn’t say the word mocha? Was saying “yeah I can do that.” In a nice way hard for him? Seems like it. His goal was to embarrass her. He was so busy to rush us out that our drinks were made wrong, he forgot to make my drink before he was trying to cash us out and not to mention the matcha is the worst quality I’ve ever gotten. Quite literally grass clippings. Fix the attitude, fix the quality of what you are offering and you wouldn’t get so many rude barista reviews.

Being new to NO from DC and open to recommendations from locals who enjoy great coffee and support small businesses, TOC came highly recommended. Unfortunately, I could never recommend this place because the customer service Cameron served today(8/7/23) was extremely unprofessional and it demonstrated a lack of emotional intelligence times 1,000. Typically on my first visit to a coffee shop I am open to trying the house brew(I really enjoy the bean over everything) or whatever beverage makes the shop unique in the sea of “great” coffee shops throughout NO. Well, I guess Cameron didn’t feel like doing his job today. After taking time to review the menu, I had questions. However, Cameron felt the need to refer me to the menu 3 times to avoid answering the simple question, “Is the Vietnamese coffee a premade mix and if so, does it have dairy in it(I’m lactose intolerant so it’s a valid concern.) and what other cold coffee drinks do you offer(there is no cold coffee listed on the menu).” Always a good idea to ask vs. assume. It was then that Cameron became grossly rude and stated that I was an “energy vampire” and “on one”… excuse me…come again…can you define what you mean by “on one” ’cause this is faaaaar from what it means to be “on one” since you took it there. My guess is Cameron wasn’t a fan of me asking him to define “on one” in a calm tone. It was clear that he was in fact a dream killer and his energy wreaked like Bourbon St. after a wild hot night. To add insult to injury, Cameron turned to his female friend whom he had been holding a personal conversation with prior to me being ready to order and asked if she’d prefer to continue their conversation outside because he wasn’t about that life. Running to escape the confrontation which he had created.
