I love this place! The food is delicious! There hasn’t been anything that I have tried that I wouldn’t eat again. From oxtails, to jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, even curry chicken and goat (which I would have never thought I would like ♀️), it’s always delicious! They have assorted patties that I suggest trying as well! My favorite is the beef or curry chicken! You get a lot of food on the plate. I always have leftovers for the next day!

First time and it was great! I had Jerk Chicken with rice and plantains. There were also greens and cabbage. I sat outside at one of the picnic tables. The food was delicious and plentiful. Sitting, there I couldn’t help but notice the Dairy Queen next door; but that’s a different review. I will be back to Carribean Island Cafe.

My family and I visited for Mother’s Day and boy, did we receive a real treat! The chef personally served our meals! Each dish was impeccably decadent and affordable! Everyone was friendly and hospitable. Quaint atmosphere – dine in or eat outside then shop afterwards. Decent prices on the dinners as well as the groceries.

I drove 40 min from Mooresville to get oxtails- the establishment was extremely hot- so hot I almost didn’t walk in. I drove 40 min back home and realized there was no gravy in the oxtails. I was so frustrated but nonetheless I may try it again because it could’ve just been a rough day. I also had to sit in my car for a few min to reply to a message, the employee did come out and make sure I was ok, as well very friendly when I walked into the store. But I’m extremely annoyed I didn’t have any gravy and they tasted rushed.

I have bought oxtail from this place a couple a times and they were decent. The last time I bought oxtail from them the taste was off and it looks like they gave me oxtail that was made a couple days ago and just reheated on the stove. So if you looking for an oxtail that was made a couple days ago and not fresh, you definitely found the right spot.

I love this place. The food was seasoned right. The proportions were just enough. The prices for lunch was only $7. I would definitely recommend this place. The owner was nice and generous. I also had their fried plantains but they were so good I ate them before taking the pics.
