love this place. tall ice-cold beers. they do extra crispy wings correctly – and they make ‘em especially burnt if you want that. and by God, i do! fantastic. and staff, Hannah, is both nice and competent. a perfect blend of goodness. and now, i saw they have flannel shirts for sale. OMG. got to get me one.

When we arrived they told us the kitchen closes at 8 but the waitress asked them to stay longer and they did. Food came out hot and quickly. Everyone liked it. Very nice. We had to leave after eating because they were closing. Sad. So our group of 11 went to the cab, ordered more food and drinks and stayed till closing. That was nice because we all had been at a funeral and hadn’t seen each other in years.

What a gem of a place. We had no idea we were visiting this tavern, but due to a rental car breakdown, the tow truck driver dropped us there to wait till we got another car. The food was awesome but the servers were unbelievable. A huge thank you to Hannah whose service and compassion was over the top and to Tracy who was going to drive us if there was no car available . Thank you so much ladies, you helped take away some of the pain of a very unfortunate situation x

Friendly waitress and fast service. I had wings and boneless ribs.the wings were very good, but I’ve NEVER had better ribs. They were blackened, but yet juicy, not greasy. They will put any of the wing flavors on the ribs. Wonderful!

Avonia is a hidden gem when it comes to boneless ribs! There are tons of flavors and they are excellent. If you haven’t tried them I highly recommend them. They also sell them 5lbs at a time which is great for parties.
