Everything was great here! We got the eggplant parmigiana, mushroom ravioli and an grilled pear salad. The food was very good and so was the service. For dessert we got the turtle tart and the kids got free tiny mousse. This restaurant was definitely one of my favorites in the town! This place was a little expensive.

First time here… the food was delicious, I had risotto, my husband had the salmon and our Greek salad had the most delicious tomatoes!! Our waiter was very pleasant and helpful and the other wait staff was also very friendly. There is a good wine list. We sat outside, which was very comfortable and private for an outdoor seating. Great find in Mt. Hood.

This is the best Italian food we had since Italy. We had osso buco and fresh heirloom burrata salad . The food is home cooked style, everything was fresh and not over salted. The focaccia baked daily was also super yummy . We were impressed !

If you love authentic Italian food and you love Hood River, you HAVE TO eat at Romuls. The owner seated us and made us feel at home. Mr Romul made suggestions on wine that paired with our meals. My meal was delicious. Open late and the environment is great.

We were very impressed by the quality of the delicious meals we ordered, the wine, dessert, and the amazing service! Monica went out of her way to accommodate and serve us. The atmosphere was wonderful, and when we called to leave a message about the possibility of dining there that evening, Monica called us back to let us know that there was room for us! We never felt hurried, and Monica was thoughtful enough to ask if we would like to relax with our wine and appetizers before the main dishes were prepared. The timing was perfect, and we would not have changed a thing! We will definitely be returning, and will be recommending Romuls to friends. (The chocolate mousse was fantastic!)

Finally made it in for dinner and glad we tried it. Seemed like everyone dining last night was enjoying their food as much as we were. So many choices and all made in house. The experience started with gorgeous focaccia that quickly arrived, swaddled in linen, at our table which was pre-set with olive oil, balsamic and bread plates. We devoured every last crumb. As for the service; attentive, approachable, knowledgeable and patient. Seamless attention to detail permeates their work and effortless style. Kudos to their SOP. As for the menu. These are standard Italian-American dishes plus specials with a few more adventurous items. We were offered fresh Parmesan with each course as well. Wines by the glass pours are generous and the owner/bartender pulls a mean espresso as close to cups I’ve sipped in Florence and Milan . Head falling back, cue the harp sweep. Speaking of dreamy, desserts! This is a fantastic spot for a dessert date night. Super impressive dessert menu and all made in house. Check out my photos. Ahmazing flourless chocolate torte! We were each served a kiss of proseco to enjoy after our meals. Salute! Very well done.

Sadly for a foodie, I did not enjoy their food. The lasagna was oily and tasted like the sauce came from a jar. The gnocchi seemed floury and not much flavor. We were told they had the best olives but it was the standard store bought from a jar. I will give them a star for the service. Some may enjoy the dishes but I do not recommend for foodies.

We love you come here for dinner whenever we are in town. It seems like the charismatic owner, Ramul, is always there, and he makes the experience memorable. Local heirloom tomatoes, great wine recommendations, and the best aperol spritz push it to amazing.
