First visit, and it was for the AYCE fish fry, which did not disappoint. Will definitely go back for that and look forward to trying other dishes as well. The staff was very friendly and polite, but our service was extremely slow to say the best. So slow, we almost walked out. Warning, parking can be a challenge. We would recommend at least trying and forming your own opinions. We will go back for another try.

Honestly, we were there for the musical entertainment. I had stopped in and previewed the venue to determine if there was dancing space. I actually spoke to the owners, who assured me they would accommodate us. We get there and sure enough they had moved 2 tables and made a dance floor. We ate a tasty appetizer and a couple drinks. The wait staff kept our water glasses full and the owners had kind words for us when we left. Oh, the entertainment was also good. We will be watching their musical schedule and plan to be back.

Pizzas were a special when we went. We got two 12 inch BLT pizzas and a burger and boneless chicken wing app. Everything was awesome ! the price was awesome ! We got out for around 45 ish .. we will be returning for sure !

We had a party of 10. 6 adults and 4 kids under age 7. It was chaotic for us but the server was extremely patient! The only reason for 4 stars for atmosphere was the noise. It was very loud but the actual dining room was closed. All 10 of us actually enjoyed the food. It was amazing. Highly recommend taking a stroll to the Knoll.

Just moved to McHenry about a month ago and have been trying to find our new “go to” place and I think we did it. Went here twice in three days, Friday for the Fish Fry, and Sunday for Breakfast and both times we were highly satisfied. The service Friday (by Olivia) was top notch, she was super friendly and visited our table often. The fish fry (all you can eat Cod) was delicious and flavorful and came with potato pancakes and cheddar biscuits, all made in house. And you get plenty of fish the first round so if you’re needing more you have a hefty appetite! And I have to say you don’t find many places with fish fry that offer potato pancakes – I was so excited to get them! Not to mention $5 Old Fashioneds – you can’t beat that! Sunday was just as good, we both had southwestern meals and they were both delicious, along with their bloody marys. Service again was just as good, and pretty sure it was one of the owners that delivered our meals – always nice to see a presence of the owners, it means they really care about what is going on in their restaurant. We plan to visit this spot often!

First time there and our expectations were far exceeded! The Pizza was incredible; hot out of the oven, super crispy, freshly kneaded dough and delicious toppings. Waitress was the extremely friendly, helpful and attentive! We will be back – this place is a hidden gem! Highly recommend.

Fish fry Fridays are my favorite. Love the fell of this place and staff here are so fun. This is the perfect local spot for all the good food. Highly recommend. But get there early because the place is always busy at night.

Rented the party room for a group of 30 for my son’s birthday. Amy was super helpful and communicative in planning the menu. Our server was literally the sweetest, and was super on point the whole time we were there. We had the pretzel bites with beer cheese dip and spinach and artichoke dip with fried pita. These were super delicious!! We had pizzas as well and they were super good, thin crust. Everyone raved about the pizza and people were battling for leftovers. Thanks to Amy and our server for a perfect birthday meal.

Excellent service. Everyone is so nice. Food came out just at right time to enjoy a few drinks first and was hot and fresh. Owners are present and attentive. Place is bustling on Friday nights for fish fry. Great choices of fish. The AYCE is awesome. You can get baked, fried or combo which is a bonus. Both are so good. Best potato pancakes IMO. Our new go to Friday night fish fry. 100% recommend.
