A very cute establishment. The food was just ok. It’s a fusion restaurant and the offerings seem too random. The birria was good. Tacos (not pictured) were better than the ramen. The garlic toast burger was good in theory but in execution the bread was too soggy and the meat was undercooked. The fried chicken was crispy and delicious as was the fried rice. The desserts were also excellent. When given the “bill” we were just told the price instead of seeing the itemized receipt. So we were disappointed when we got to the car and saw the bill was wrong. Just a drink order which was $2 more but still annoying and this is why we prefer a paper bill rather than the screen on the waitstaff’s wrist. I would definitely return for drinks, convo, and dessert.

Came here for restaurant week. Service was absolutely excellent! The food was delicious and they had a great variety. The presentation was instagram-worthy. Highly recommend the pound cake french toast, the icing was perfectly balanced – tangy and sweet; and the pound cake was buttery and fluffy. I loved it. Again, service alone was

When we went there, they only offered the Houston Restaurant Week menu, which is one of the reasons we went.

Food: Food was okay, nothing spectacular. Waffle tasted like bisquik mix. The menu said the strawberry cheesecake waffle would be stuffed with cheesecake, that [pictured] is a cheesecake flavored drizzle. They were skimp on the strawberries. They were more for decoration than a key component to the dish. Chicken needed the hot sauce. Fish and grits were okay. Small portions

Would def recommend. Small space but we didn’t have any issues. It wasnt too busy when we came in but shortly after, that poor waitress was running around attending to everyone, great job (didn’t catch her name). she was very good at explaining/recommending food items. Music was a bit louder than other places but I did NOT mind as I was having my own little karaoke concert. We had the birria tacos and they were cheesy with tender meat and pretty good. Consome was thicker here than other places. The chicken was a bit over fried to my liking but that poind cake french toast was delicious. Grits had a perfect texture, not to thick/runny. Asparagus was eh. I didn’t try anything else on the table. The white halal sauce (described similar to ranch) was good and so was the blazian sauce which was like soy sauce with some sweetness (described similar to teriyaki). Bathroom (girls) was clean. Will def b back to try other stuff.

Cool place Server was Great music on point. Marcy was our waiter and she was on point. But the lamb chops wasn’t it. I wish I could rate higher but I wasn’t impressed with it at all. The pound cake French toast was on point though. Maybe with some better cooks this could be a lit spot in Katy.

Frank our server was absolutely amazing. He greeted us as soon as we walked in and served us. The restroom has a gorgeous wallpaper and unique sink. One thing I learned was just because there is a crowd, it doesn’t mean the food is good. The food was ehhhhh. The fish and shrimp were salty. The jerk fried shrimp was salty cornmeal fried shrimp with salty jar jerk sauce spooned over it( see the pic) . The cheese grits, lavender lemonade, birria taco, and pound cake French toast were good. The mashed potatoes were edible (the best part is that they are homemade) The “peach cobbler cheesecake “ is NOT cheesecake. It’s ice cream with cheesecake flavored pudding cream with peaches and a Vanilla Wafer. Lastly, do not go by what the website says. We had a party of 4 and each of us drove 40 minutes after looking at the website and menu. When we get there they said they are only doing a Houston Restaurant Week menu.We asked to order off the regular menu , because the portion and options on their Houston Restaurant Week menu were not appeasing. We didn’t care about paying regular prices. Nowhere on their website does it mention this. It doesn’t even mention Houston Restaurant Weeks. The owner came out and was very defensive. She said she couldn’t serve off of her regular menu, because she was overwhelmed and her website hasn’t been updated. She didn’t give any alternatives. We heard a couple of other people complain from other tables about the same thing. We suggested that she keeps up her website because people look at the website to scope out the restaurant to determine rather or not to visit. Compared to other restaurants participating in Houston Restaurant Weeks, Fork It is definitely at the bottom. The portion sizes are mediocre. I can understand if this was a new restaurant , but she has been opened a year. I think with a professional consultant, Fork It can be better. It has potential, but guidance is needed. Needless to say, I will not be back because we all left hungry and felt like we only had a snack. We didn’t not finish the food due to the saltiness and lack of seasoning.

The staff was very friendly and worked really hard to the point I’d say they need some help. The food was excellent! The Birria Ramen was spicy and the brisket was perfect. The fried chicken had that perfect crunch to it. The place reminded me of soul food and had so much flavor that I want to try more. Did it take a minute to get our food? Yes. Was the food amazing? Yes. They just need some more staff to help but any reviewers talking about the wait or the cost of their sandwich just don’t understand what the state of the economy is today. Things aren’t cheap and help is hard to find, cut these guys some slack.
