I got a chance to eat at Cask Strength Bar and Kitchen before the grand opening and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! My boyfriend and I got the truffle fries and the stuffed mushroom as appetizers. The fries were excellently seasoned and the mushroom was so delicious I would order it alone if I just wanted a light meal. My boyfriend got the Cajun noodles and I got the lamb. I am not a huge lamb person, but it was so tasty and delicious. The meat was soft and also seasoned exceptionally.

Great atmosphere and awesome food. Service was superb. I’m not a whiskey girl so sipped on a Moscow mule. Tried three different appetizers and they did not disappoint. I had the steak tacos, which was interesting it had BBQ and mushrooms and onions. Also had the empanadas which I loved the salsa it came with. And lastly the mac n cheese, probably too cheesy for my own good.

My husband and I came with a party of six on a Friday night at 6pm. We were sat quickly and our orders were taken super fast as well. I had the steak sammies and a whiskey sour. They were incredible. My husband had the bbq burger and the buffalo mule and he loved them as well. Anytime any of the staff walked by they checked in and made sure we had everything that was needed. I loved it. It’s a bourbon experience and the food is great too. The service is super friendly and make you feel at home. They have come up with great cocktail combinations highlighting their vast collection of spirits. Seating is limited so make sure you make it in early. There are no reservations. If you are out downtown and looking for a place to go please try them out. You’ll be happy you did, oh and make sure to order a Pumpkin Martini. Best drink ever!

One star because you can’t pick zero, went there with friends from out of town-fried green beans were okay, food took well over an hour and a half to get there, wait staff was nice but nowhere to be found most of the time, the ribeye steak was a good size but had no seasoning, had a strange sweet almost honey flavor and undercooked and had a large amount of fat, same was true for my friend’s ribeye and even my other friends New York-never seen a New York with so much fat. Waitress was uninterested when shown the fat etc. won’t be going back, looked like they have a large selection of alcohol-they might reconsider serving food other than appetizers. Food was expensive too.

Warm, friendly greeting by the staff and apologies that we had to wait for a table. Fun vibes, extremely noisy and smaller than we’d imagined but has great potential. We had a party of 5, shared several appetizers and each was delicious. Only complaint was the steak bites were a mix of good tender meat and nasty, tough meat with gristle but the sauce was fab and menu indicates mushrooms but actually only one large mushroom is served (appetizer).Super selection of bourbons. Not fond of having to order at the bar as that is rather unorganized and for such a nice menu it would be a more positive dining experience if the drinks and food was to be served. Happy hour is too limited and could at least be extended another hour…..Again, the staff is wonderful and this restaurant has incredible potential to be highly successful….very best wishes.
