1st time today. Won’t go back. Our order was missing 1 burrito and we paid for it. The 1 burrito we did get wasn’t beef as we ordered – it was black bean. The soft tacos were dry and bland. Pricey for what we got. The 1 star given is for the nachos which were great.

I have been going there for 17 years and the food is delicious! Authentic homemade Mexican food. Friendly staff and speedy service. My kids enjoy the quesadillas (they’re both under 5) and my youngest gets down with the crunchy beef taco. Whether it’s nachos/tacos/burritos/chimichangas, Mexicali has something for everyone. Don’t sleep on their rice pudding!

My husband and I moved into town in April and we’re so excited to try what we thought would be great Mexican food. I got 2 beef and 1 chicken taco. I laughed when I took them out. The crispy shell was so thin and deeply fried. They ground beef, shredded plain, boiled chicken, what could have been bagged shredded iceberg lettuce, and what could have been bagged cheddar cheese. And that was literally it. My husbands burrito was bland and gross and my 5 year old took 2 bites from her food and couldn’t eat the rest. I’m so disappointed we spent money on this place. I’m actually insulted. I wish I took photos before I threw it out last night

Worst Mexican food I’ve ever eaten, Taco Bell does way better and I don’t even like them. Whatever you do don’t let the reviews let you to believe this food is good unless you like bland garbage. Spent 60$ here for garbage for my family we all through it out. Also refuses to sell unless wearing a mask my dentist doesn’t even make me wear one coming in.

I used to come here on occasion my uncle when I was a younger as he lived not far from here before he moved; I always enjoyed the food. Recently my brothers and our wives were passing through from a trip down to the coast and on the way back home we stopped her. It’s even better than I remembered.

The food is very authentic and filling. This is a small business run by family. There are only about 6 tables which makes the ambience very old world and home style. Everyone I know who goes there loves the place, food, and staff. I had the tacos. 2 were more than enough and very tasty! I will go back there again and will pass the word around to those of us who love Mexican style food.
