I came to Maryland for an authentic crab cake, and the Captain’s Galley left me so happy. Huge lumps of crab, seasoned well, awesome homemade sauce, the platter dinner was exactly what I was hoping for. There isn’t much seating inside, and most people (all of them in the day I was there) took the food out.

Food: I haven’t had a crab cake this good in 20 years! The crab cake sandwich + galley sauce are excellent – you can tell that the food is fresh – too many of the crab cakes in OC are dry & cold or taste like bleach or have too much filler – this place has none of those issues; old bay chips are flavorful & crispy without being stale – wish I had ordered another crab cake sandwich & chips to go…

Love their “brown bag specials”. My husband checks every day for the crab melt on English muffin! My favorite so far was the crab imperial on puff pastry. We’ve never gotten a meal we didn’t like. A great place for takeout while at the beach!

Did takeout. The crabcakes were so good, with huge chunks of crabmeat. The shrimp salad wrap was also very very good, as were the crab seasoned chips. Kiddo loved the Mac and cheese. Reasonably priced for portion sizes. Will order again when we are back in town.

I was so pumped to try this place! Everything looked delicious on their daily posts, we finally got the chance to try it today. We did their lunch special, it was Cajun shrimp salad. Omg delicious! My only complaint is that I didn’t order more! It was so good, and $12!? You can’t get fast food for that these days! Everyone there today was so nice when my husband picked up our food. Ordering was fast and easy, food was ready when it said it would be. 10/10. We also tried the hush puppies. Can’t wait to get the crab cakes next! We hope this place sticks around for a long time!
