Future Forever
This place had lots of bad reviews and I was hesitant about going here. In the end we ended up trying it out and it was nothing like any of the reviews. Our server was great, smiling, and attentive. The food was fresh and hot so no complaints there. Great music was playing and it was just so around comfortable! If you have been here and didn’t like it you may want to give it another try. We will be going back!

Fantastic view. I must admit I totally would have skipped this place if not for all the positive reviews. It looks like a biker bar from the street and the parking situation is intimidating. We went on a Saturday at 4pm. Inside was clean and mostly empty, the outside dining area was almost full, but we got a table with no wait and the server was there immediately. Fun cocktail menu, which I normally don’t care about, but I got a Paloma and it was just right. Not as much of a beer selection as my partner would have liked, but totally decent options. We ordered fried green beans and a pizza. Enjoyed the river breeze and people watching. It’s a high balcony but you could walk down to the river if so inclined. Our waiter, Alex was prompt, accurate, and attentive without being intrusive. The mood was very chill, and there was plenty of space for everyone. We thought the food was great and will definitely be back to try other menu items.

We went here over recommendations of our neighbors. This is a dive bar for sure but has great outdoor seating. The locals come here for sure. The big push to come here was for the fried shrimp. They get a zero in my book. There is more breading than shrimp. Raw dough inside. Shrimp should have a light coating of a Tempura style vs a heavy breaded coating. The shrimp tasted like they come in frozen and put in the fryer. We also ate Oysters we’re just okay as they were a little creamy and no briny taste . Bar tender very nice.

I had fried catfish and chips and my husband had 8 ball burger. It was soo good. Our friends got the pizza which was amazing. Music of Haywire was off the chain amazing. Will definitely be back. Especially if Haywire is playing. Check them out on Facebook at HaywireSATX.

Loved this place until today. It was a 30 degree day so we wanted to sit inside. I am a disabled vet and have a service dog. They refused to serve me inside and after talking to the owner, the waitress came back and said “you are welcome to leave, we will not serve you”

The food is excellent, the drinks are great, the back patio/deck is gorgeous with a good atmosphere. For smokers, you can smoke when seated outside. The only reason I dare give this venue 3 stars is because Everytime I have gone there, more than 10, the servers are too busy and don’t have time to wait on everyone they are serving therefore you get drinke late, food late. If you have time constraint do not go here it usually takes 2+ hours.
