We’ve been here a few times and have been impressed with both the atmosphere and food every time. The layout of the dinning areas work in a way that feels both free flowing and open, yet somewhat intimate as well.

Fantastic food, very reasonable prices (don’t agree with reviews mentioning high prices). Steaks are good size for the price. Burgers are great, particularly liked the candied bacon on the popper burger. Desserts are delicious. Well worth the brief drive out of town. Staff was friendly as well.

The cuts of meat are very good! Cooked exactly right. The sides are delish! Wine and drinks menu are thoughtful with some excellent some local wines! Wait staff is attentive and friendly. Matt and Dan are both a joy to chat with. The decor is understated and the ladies room was pristine! I loved, loved, LOVED our evening out! Leave the kids at home and treat yourself! It’s worth it!

Dined here twice. Loved it both times. Strip steak was cooked nicely. Tons of flavor! Sword fish was ok. Thought it was quite plain. But, I wasn’t expecting extraordinary fish from a chophouse. Decent bloody Mary. Good service on both occasions.

Walked in at 730 on a Friday night, was seated right away, staff were very polite, and food came out reasonably quick. Thought this place was a hit, until the sirloin came out, for 25 dollars the outside of the steak tasted like a piece of charcoal, even though the inside was medium done. The cheesecake for desert was amazing though! Probably won’t be going back.

We had no idea where we were being seated when we asked for a booth but it was a hidden quiet gem that was perfect for us. The lighting was great, food was delicious (husband said it is now his favorite steak place and I had chicken fried chicken). We WILL be back! Waitress was great!

Very excited to have had a great experience at this new restaurant. We loved the cocktail menu, the prime choice steaks and the dessert selection. Service was well-paced and the atmosphere was great for table conversation. Would highly recommend.

A party of four. Two of the steaks were over cooked, green beans had no flavor. Salads were tasty. Prices were extremely high when compared to comparable steak houses elsewhere. Sides: $4 for a potato, green beans etc. Quality of food and meal presentation was poor. The Topeka Steak house was a better buy. Thin plastic “beer” cups for drinking water. Ordered a long island ice tea – $10 was a waste of money. Would not eat there again, even if they offered a free meal. Save the long drive and go somewhere else. Puffy’s was a reasonable family atmosphere with full menu. Too bad it closed.

First time there, will definitely go back. The décor is rustic and beautiful. I had the BBQ brisket special with a side salad. Both were spot on. The salad was extremely fresh, the candied bacon and fresh shaved parmesan put it over the top. The brisket was perfect, tender and delicious. Hubby had the fish sandwich with fries, and it looked great, I stole one fry and it was really good. Menu offerings were varied and all tempting.
