What a fantastic overall experience! Pre dinner drinks in point I recommend the ‘Old Fashion’ they have a fun friendly staff that naturally makes you feel at home with a classic comfortable vibe around every corner. Dinner was nothing short of perfection as all the appetizers kept anticipation at ease. Salad was fresh with the very BEST fried croutons you can ever imagine served hot from a bowl leaving you tempted to eat more & more. Enjoyed their New York cut steak served cajun style with mushrooms and the flavor was amazing. Highly recommend giving this small town mom & pops restaurant a run ever if you aren’t in the general vicinity it’s well worth the drive while visiting the Chicago area. You’ll thank me later!

Was camping this weekend and husband tried to plan a date night. Little did he know our puppy wasn’t going to handle being alone in the camper. Had reservations and ended getting food to go instead. Bartender was awesome, atmosphere and ambiance was great! Food was excellent. Ordered two specials, NY strip with shrimp, and brought back to our campsite. Food was great and even had left overs for a steak and egg breakfast! Will be back again for sure.

I cannot rave about this restaurant more! I have NEVER had a bad experience and have been coming for over 3+ years! I would have never tried escargot, but, I did here and it is delicious!! I don’t think I would eat it anywhere else. What a gem, atmosphere, service, taste, and quality are impeccable. Drinks are great, food is even better! Something about that chicken in the Alfredo that just melts in your mouth. If you haven’t gone, GO!!! What are you waiting for?

Everything was amazing! The lemon-butter scallops were the best I’ve had and the Spinach ravioli was delicious. Oh yeah, you must get the garlic bread! Great service, great ambiance and great value for what you receive.

This place is fantastic! The food is very good and packed with lots of flavor. The cesar salad is a must and the specials are great as well. The staff is very friendly even when they are really busy. The owner works his tail off and still comes by the tables to make sure you’re satisfied. We have a dinner night every time we are in town. Do yourself a favor and stop into this hidden gem.

We love this place. It’s quaint and has a comfortable atmosphere. The Owner’s are really great people. They come and check on how the dinner was and actually converse with you. The food is out of this world and is fresh. Steaks are cooked to order. Drinks are awesome. Love the Manhattans. Choice of Bourbon. Great for special occasions. Definitely can’t wait to go back!

This is a very nice little steakhouse a short drive from Starved Rock in a town of 600 people. It serves prime steak, seafood, and Italian comfort food. It is not cheap but the food is very good. Homemade salad dressings and a delicious portabello mushroom steak sauce. The servers are very nice and attentive. The decor is a throwback to the old style supper clubs but still very nice. The dining room has about 12 tables which makes it intimate and you should call for reservations. The only drawback is they charge you to use a credit card so bring cash or stop at an ATM.

Cute little place on the middle of a residential neighborhood. We enjoyed our dinner immensely ~ food excellent, cooked perfectly to order, drinks wonderful, waitstaff exceptional. Overall, an amazing experience! Highly recommend when you are in this area, just remember to make a reservation early in the day!

Owners are very friendly. Steaks are BIG. Place is quaint. If you get the chance, go here. Food is good and cooked right. I had the filet but think the ribeye was a bit better. Enjoy!
