17 June 2023: I’m hesitant about giving away my secret favorite places, but it would be rude not to support these fine people. It’s always the small, unexpected places that surprise us. Today, I took my son and grandson for lunch, and as always, Pop’s DID NOT disappoint. My grandson is a burger lover, so when he comes to visit from the northeast, I try to outdo the time before. He loved it so much it’s his new favorite. I had the catfish, fries, slaw, and hush puppies and mark my words: I have been all over this country, and many places abroad.. This was by far THE BEST catfish plate I have ever had. They batter it up and fry it up like the old days, AMAZING! My son had the double burger, he beat my dare and finished it! One pound of fresh handpatted meat! He definitely loved the burger. Took a togo catfish plate to my daughter in law, she was raving about it. Support this local establishment..my Mamaw always told me to never judge a book by its cover! The service here is excellent! So yes, I’m hesitant about giving this review because I want it all to myself, but you must try. DO NOT expect a fine dining establishment. you’re not going there for the chairs or decor although it’s my type of place. My favorite place, no doubt!

Took an hour or so to get our food but the food it self was great! The hamburgers are huge. The cheese sticks was definitely cheesing the season frys will melt in your mouth! nice little place

A quaint little watering hole with good old-fashioned American fare, taking burgers back to simplicity. The meal was altogether large for roughly twelve dollars a person, and the toppings were all fresh and large portioned as well… a half-inch slice of tomato on my burger was awesome. Not a place I would take children, but sometimes we adults need those kinds of places, don’t we? The service was prompt and friendly, and care was taken to make sure we were happy with our meals.

Wanted to try something new with Mom and this place popped up. When I say their grilled chicken omelet is amazing, I’m saying it’s slap yo mama good. Mom got the Philly cheese steak omelet and she was just as happy. The people are great and food couldn’t be more on point.

Greasy. Greasy. Greasy. The overbreaded mushrooms were very low quality and partly chewy like leather. The okra was overbreaded grease too. I threw it in the garbage can. First time and last time I go there. The waitress was very friendly, quick to take order and professional with a kindly smile.

Great food for a hole in the wall bar and grill! Not a country music fan but that’s what gets played and that’s okay, it’s just so loud it disrupts conversation. Overall, love this place!

I think I may love the food here. Just had the best steak in eggs that I’ve had in years and the service is very warm and welcoming. I do wish it was a little brighter and straightened up in there but that won’t ever stop me from coming to a place that has food as tasty as theirs.
