Very good place to get a quick bite to eat at, it’s located inside the farmers market. The owner was super cool and made sure everything was good. All the food was fresh and cooked to perfection. I would definitely come again for a good, quick and healthy eat. The shawarma themselves aren’t prepared on a rotisserie style, however they are still really good. The prices are also great for the quality and portions of the meal. Very good food.

One of the best lunch spots in royal oak, hands down! The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is so incredibly friendly. Do yourself a favor and try the chicken shawarma fries… it’s seriously one of the best dishes I’ve had in royal oak. Their salads are also huge and super fresh. All around, a great spot and I’m so happy that I stumbled across it. Now I order it once a week usually!

I visited Kal’s for the first time and it was so good! Everything was super fresh and very tasty. I tried the falafel, and it was really good with the garlic and mango sauces. I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl with rice, pickled turnip and garlic sauce and the greek salad. It was very good. Highly recommended!

I tired this gem on a whim a few months ago with my family and we’ve never been the same. My wife’s parents are from Iraq so I’ve had my fair share of shawarma, hummus, cream chop, kabob, and more! This is by far the best in the metro Detroit area (possibly all of Michigan, maybe all of the Midwest?!). Everything is fresh, flavorful and never to heavy. I can’t say enough good things.

I love this place. I go on average once per week. The falafel is some of the best I have ever had. Specifically, I recommend the “loaded falafel.” I do like that the menu has many options, plus, if you ask them to make something not on the menu, as long as they have the ingredients for it, they’ll do it.
