The food was amazing and you can’t beat the price! I particularly like the French toast. The hot chocolate was delicious as well. Great little location above a little shop. The table was a little sticky, but when syrup is involved, that is to be expected .

Cute general store and cafe above it. Food was good but service wasn’t the best. In all fairness, they were very busy, but we never had an official server (two people came by for our drink order and three came by to ask if we’d ordered yet) my ultimate bacon had only American cheese, no Swiss or pepper jack in sight, and the waiter delivered it to the wrong table. After the lady picked up my sandwich with her fingers and said it wasn’t hers, the waiter took it and brought it to me….kinda gross.

My wife and I tried for the first time today after her radiation treatment. We did have one little issue and they went above and beyond what we expected to make it right! We couldn’t have asked for more. Our food was great and the prices were very reasonable as well. Also loved the shop downstairs! Very unique. We will gladly return. Great Job!

Swede’s Cafe is THE place to go fir your breakfast or lunch. I love my honey lavender latte. It’s perfect every single time. Starbucks can’t do that it depends on their barista. But here at Swedes inside Morganton General Store upstairs it’s the nest. It made my move faster I knew I could get great coffee, friendly staff and caring. They have made my time by myself until my family moves so much easier. Check this place out!

Walked here on 9/3, online it said open at 8am. The shop downstairs was open but there was a paper sign by Swedes saying they were closed today. I would find somewhere else to go for breakfast.
