Very friendly fast service. I really love the atmosphere. It was an up beat place to have dinner, However, I got my mine to go. I would’ve love to stay, but I didn’t have time. I will absolutely go again! If you’re ever stopping in Calera and have a taste for some delicious Mexican food. Make sure you try this place out, it was very delicious I had the enchiladas, rice, and beans.

A great Mexican restaurant near the Interstate. We stopped there after a train ride at the Historic train station. The dining area is remarkable due to the extension decorations. The menu was standard Mexican restaurant but the food was very good. We sat in a booth but the center has many tables that can be pushed together for groups. The staff was very responsive and friendly. The music swit he’d from traditional Mexican to modern, which was refreshing..

The high rating for this place is no joke – it’s my favorite Tex-mex restaurant. The employees are all super friendly and helpful. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. They also don’t charge me out the wazoo when I customize my plate. The owner (I think) also constantly walks the floor and interacts with his customers, which is a big reason I think this place is so popular. The same employees greet you and serve you, so you can tell they’re well taken care of. Small establishments like this are rare. I love this place!

Went here with my husband and boys for the first time this week. The food and margaritas were delicious: highly recommend the street tacos with pork. Service was excellent despite being busy. Fun environment. We’ll definitely be back.

Stopped in for lunch while traveling and selected the Shrimp de la diabla. While I waited for lunch, the chips and salsa were very good. Good chips and the salsa wasnt spicy hot (which I prefer), but it had excellent flavor and didn’t over-do the cilantro. Lunch was very good. Spicy hot foods should not be hot just for the sake of heat. Rather, they should layer flavors, and the spicy heat should be one of those. Not the reason for the dish. This did just that. The spicy sauce was well flavored and really, not overtly hot, but had good flavor, and the shrimp were cooked just right. The beans and rice were a perfect complement to the spicy heat. Overall, a very good lunch, and one I would gladly have again.

If you’re African American don’t expect to be treated well. Expect to sit for a long time before you are served. My family and I had to ask to place our drink order. Then 20 minutes later a waiter asked if we wanted our check. We politely said we never ordered food. Then someone finally came and took our order. Every other customer that didn’t look like us was seated and waited on extremely fast, while we sat and waited. The waiter took my card to cash out the check and never came back. I had to physically go find my card and the receipt…….. I will never go back there.

Outstanding restaurant, super clean, above expectations, we’ve never seen service like this before, all waiters look after your table to make sure you have all you need. The food was amazing! Everyone was super friendly. Our waiter Josh was awesome!

Food was decent at best, boyfriend found a bone in his food. They remade it but my kids were too grossed out to eat after that. Service is pretty good overall though. Salsa and cheese dip (especially salsa) are super disappointing.

Great food and service. Definitely recommend to anyone. Sit at the bar and get Val as your server. Really nice and professional. All servers very nice and good food….UPDATE…Sadly Val is gone now. It isn’t the same at the bar. Food is still good though.
