Food was fine. Happy to see the bagels return. They are the only thing I like there. Sadly, the homeless and alcoholics made the atmosphere uninviting. This was a similar situation that led to the McDonald’s across from NCSU to close many years ago. Customers were constantly being bothered by homeless. People just stopped going.

These staff are horrible I just used a mobile code for a free fry with the purchase of 2 dollars or more and when I got home they weren’t in the bag so I drove back to get them and when I gave them my recite they said they weren’t on there and the manager said there was nothing she could do so I told her I already used the code so I can’t get that back and she again told me there was nothing she could do so I said I’m sorry I don’t really care I can’t get that deal back. She then responded with well I don’t care either and shut the window in my face where I could then hear her and all the workers laughing at my expense. I know this seems small. But for a restaurant right next to a college campus full of students I think this was extremely insensitive see a manager act this way to a paying customer in this tight economy. Very very disappointed

In retrospect I had previously ripped some McDonald’s for lousy customer service and I’m a fair person, McDonald’s needs to have more franchises like this. The staff is friendly and very courteous from the dive thru to the register. I literally drive past a McDonald’s to go to this one because of the professionalism. I would highly recommend this McDonald’s.
