EASY 5 stars. When I worked in Harrisburg, I came here at least once a week. Now I no longer work in the city, but on the rare occasion I do come into Harrisburg, I make it a point to stop in. This place is a HIDDEN GEM! Awesome hot dogs. Awesome breakfast. It’s not upscale or fancy. It’s entirely old school & I love it. And I think most people who come here do as well.

I had a Greek chili dog craving and didn’t feel like driving to Carlisle’s Hamilton Grill (the best in area). I got two hot dogs with sauce (chili), mustard and onions. I was surprised it was good, but would have been great if the onions were fresh and chopped v. What tasted like reconstituted onions. It took care of the craving though, lol.

Greasy spoon type hot dog joint located in a strip mall off 7th Street. Area seems a little sketchy but I didn’t feel unsafe. Inside is small with some counter seating. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. When I arrived at 11:30 a.m. the place was prettt busy. I ordered 2 chili dogs with fries. My order was ready in about how long it took to fry the French fries. Service was friendly. Chili dogs were good as was the fries (they don’t salt them so add your own to taste). Very comparable to my fave hot dog spot in Erie that I get to visit once a year!! Lots of different menu items to choose from. Can’t wait to return with my boyfriend!

Some of the friendliess people you’ll come across. They open early, the food is always hot, and their prices are reasonable. Most importantly, your food is ALWAYS the way, YOU ask. Did I mention that their breakfast is GREAT! You have to try their bacon n egg sandwich, and their fried potatoes are mm mmm good! The serving size is enough to feed two, maybe three. If I ask for crispy bacon and no cheese, my food is ALWAYS the way I WANT IT! I love patronaging this business.

I remember the first time I ever ate there because it was a reward for being good at my Mom’s hair dresser…. approximately 45 years ago. I now work up the street and it was like stepping back in time when I walked in. It is clean but dated. The food is always on point. I order often and have never had an issue. Breakfast is the best and made to oder. Enjoy

I frequently stopped for their chilli dogs with mustard. They were excellent. On my last visit I noticed that a 15% “mandatory gratuity” was attached to the total bill. Once this becomes mandatory, it’s now called a TAX . I am sorry to say that I have eaten my last Jimmy Dog.
