The food is awesome. Visit anytime for lunch or dinner but make sure and walk around to check out the decor. Phil’s is authentic Mexican food. The specials on the last day we visited were Mango Salad with grilled chicken and Ribs with fries. They were delicious.

We really were looking forward to this new location opening last year, however, every time we’ve went (3 times) something has been off (one visit we waited for 1/2 an hour for taking our order and then we waited another hour for our food). Our most recent visit (this past Saturday), we ordered a take out order and they only gave us six tortillas for two orders of fajitas for two and two very small bags of chips. We called them and we had to drive back to their location and they gave us more tortillas and they seemed annoyed and were rather short with us. We love the Phil’s on University in Huntsville, they have always been excellent.

Best Mexican restaurant in Madison! Since this Phil’s location opened, we’ve visited several times and our experiences are consistently great. The food is hot, the drinks are fantastic, and the homemade tortillas are fresh! The prices here are significantly better than that of the competition in the Madison area. Our visit on Cinco de Mayo was the best yet – live music, giveaways for kids, drink specials for adults, and an overall fantastic atmosphere.

Came here with a friend and ordered a chicken fajita salad. When it came out it was very obviously a steak fajita salad, which would have been fine but I’m allergic to red meat so I asked if I could have it swapped for the chicken. My server apologized and said he would have it remade.

There’s a reason they opened a second location in town. I have never been here when there isn’t a crowd. We stopped in with a party of 12 and they were able to accommodate us relatively quickly. I have tried something new every time I have visited and never been disappointed. I’n fact, the food was so good I forgot to take a picture of it.

We love the original so we had high hopes for this one. Let me say, it exceeded expectations. The food was maybe even better than the Huntsville location. The margaritas were on point. The salsa was the best we have had in a while and the service was impeccable. We only wish they had an ice cream machine!

Best Mexican restaurant in the area by far! Their food is so fresh and flavorful. I’ve eaten fajitas at pretty much every restaurant that serves them and Phil’s has the best hands down. The tortillas are homemade right in the dining room. The chicken, beans, and everything is soooo flavorful. Also you can get lunch portions everyday of the week and it comes with so much food. I got chicken fajitas for $13.99 and it included a ton of food for the price. We also love their tamales. The service is always great as well.

Update: ordered take out only to recieve the crappiest fajitas ever! Tiny bit of chicken, cold fajita veggies and dry rice. That’s it. Luckily I had salsa and sour cream at the house but man. Pathetic.
