My new go to Chinese restaurant! Came here for the first time today and I am soooo glad I did! The food is sooooo delicious and inexpensive! I ordered the hot and sour soup, rice, steamed dumplings, and shrimp egg roll and everything was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were relatively large and the price for everything was under $15! Plus my order was ready in under 15 minutes of placing it and the food was still hot and tasted fresh. It doesn’t get any better than that. The only con is the location. It’s located on Lake St in an area tha doesn’t seem like the safest. However, I LOVE that they have a drive thru! So much easier that you don’t have to get out of your car. I would highly recommend this place!

Updated-hadthe chicken wings. They are really good and stayed crisp after a half hour in the car! Original-Got take out of two combos, it was very tasty and well priced. I will come back again for sure! I left atmosphere blank because the place is pretty basic, not somewhere you would linger. Service was fast, and I got everything I ordered.

I’m from Texas and this place was delicious! Nice sized plates. Very reasonably priced and good portions. My kids loved their sesame chicken and orange chicken. Beef and mushrooms was perfect. Looks like a family owned business. Sweet lady at the register. They do have a drive thru as well.

FINALLY! Good Chinese in Minneapolis. I had the orange chicken, it is lightly spicy with a mild orange flavor slivers of orange peel throughout, steamed broccoli, plenty of sauce and the chicken stays nice and crispy. I have tried almost a dozen Chinese restraunts at various price points and this one has been the best American Chinese place by far! The prices are fair and portions size is great. I used the drive through which was very fast but they also have indoor dining and delivery.

Chinese Express is our go to Chinese restraunt for work. We drive in, eat in, and carry out regularly. The food is always hot. It’s not mysterious, you know what you’re eating and see fresh ingredients. They are accommodating for requests and go above and beyond with customer service. Online ordering is really convenient. The restraunt is a bit lack luster but it is clean.
