Wok N Roll used to be one of my favorite places, but I haven’t been in years. I went today and the food was as good as I remembered but I was disappointed that I wasn’t given noodles with my hot and sour soup. You may have to ask for them now. Back in the day they just came with it and they’re my favorite.

I went there to eat lunch yesterday, after not going there for a couple of years due to a bad experience. I knew better but thought I’d give them another chance. Horrible mistake. As soon as I entered, the smell was stale and the air was musty. Approaching the counter, no one seemed to notice I even came in. I just stood there while the girl kept looking back toward the kitchen. NOT sure why, there were NO customers other than me in the store. I stood there, trying to read the menu board which was difficult as the lettering was difficult to see.

This is the best place to get Chinese food. I have been coming here for 12 years and have rarely been disappointed. Their sushi is top shelf and larger portions than other places. So many lunch specials. The drive thru is so fast that I can’t believe it’s this good.

I would give a negative score if it is possible. I ordered one Honey Sesame Chicken ($9) and eight wings ($6) through DoorDash. The coat on sesame chicken was SUPER SUPER SUPER thick. Also see the picture how much chicken I got with $9. Wings were dried up, hard and not fresh, and taste is horrible. This is the first time and also absolute last time ordering from there.

*edit* I really miss the old coconut chicken that was fluffy, soft, oddly shaped, and lightly battered, fried, and glazed with coconut sauce. I wish they would bring it back because it was my favorite item and I couldn’t get it anywhere else. Now it’s just regular coconut chicken you can get at any of the multiple Chinese restaurants in Florence – nothing special.

I know many people who have eaten at this place and they have all said good things. My boyfriend and I ordered egg rolls as a snack and when we got them he said they smelt a little fishy. I couldn’t smell anything and they looked fine so we went ahead and ate them. We were sick all night with stomach pains and with no doubt had food poisoning. Be careful what you order from here!
