This is a great find with a large outside eating area where you can listen to live music and see people play games. The food was excellent. We did have to wait an hour for food to be served. My recommendation is to order starters. The drinks are strong. I had the half chicken with vegetables. Will had the salmon. Our waitress was excellent. Recommend.

We went here for valentines dinner. Everything was good but expensive. Drinks were good, but at $14+ each, a bit painful. The atmosphere was fairly blah. There’s no view to speak of, no music, no interesting decor. They left the doors to the kitchen open, so we did get to look at that unpleasant view throughout the meal. The cinderblock wall was kind of cool, the way they made that look interesting with artificial plants. The ceiling of artificial plants was OK, but one glance straight up and that is done. The waitress was friendly and mostly good, but it took a while to get our drinks, twice. My lasagna was a little overcooked and tough, such that I had to use a knife to cut the pasta, but I liked it even if I had to chew a little harder. We enjoyed our meal, but at $130 dollars, it was a bit painful. I doubt we will return, but perhaps I’m just being a cheapskate.

A good manager knows how to interact with possible customers and this one caught us looking at the menu outside before going next-door to another restaurant for lunch. His demeanor and confidence in their cuisine sold us.

I tried making reservations for 4 online. It told me they don’t make reservations for that small of a table. So we thought we’d try walk in but I’m was already feeling skeptical. Stood in line to put our name in for 20 min (outside as there was no greeting area). Finally was greeted and told 30 min wait. They took my cell #. We wanted to try the “new” so decided to stick it out. After 60 more min of floating the sidewalk and window shopping next door, I went to see how many parties of 4 were in front of us. I was told she’s have to check BOTH list and get back to me. Who keeps 2 lists??? She didn’t get back to me on 10 min so we left. I never did get a text alert for our table. Doesn’t matter how proud of your menu, how delicious your flavors, our happy your servers- if you can’t seat customers your not going to make it. Doubt we try again. Truly disappointed.

The place is nice enough, and I would say the food is ok. Had pizza and it was a little under cooked, the flavor was fine. Downside: Angie was pleasant, but totally new to waiting tables. Served two glasses of wine by grabbing them with her fingers on the inside of the glasses. Yuck. Would never take anything away we were finished with. Brings out the salad with the wrong dressing, which is no big deal, but asks if I wanted to try it before sending it back. The salad only had one green in it. Place needs to get it together.

I think the most appropriate way to start this review is to highlight that this restaurant may be having a bit of an identity crisis.

Found this location via a recommendation on Instagram. Saw other poor reviews but decided to give it a chance anyways.

I was so pleasantly surprised by our impromptu visit to The Garden. A new Italian restaurant in the growing Rivery district of Georgetown – this is a fantastic restaurant for cocktails, wine, and good Italian food. The decor is fresh and inviting and our server was fantastic. The gnocchi was very flavorful and delicious and they have a kids menu which is always a plus. This is a great place for date night or cocktails. A great addition to the Georgetown restaurant scene.

The seating space inside at the bar is very nice. They offer a great wine and beer variety, but food options are limited. We had the frutto misto and the aioli was really good. But the batter just fell from the veggies and shrimps as soon as you put the fork in it. The pizza is very thin and we love that. But I wonder which flour they use. It is different than a regular 00 yeast dough. Still good, crunchy and delicious. The pasta was great and al dente. Maybe too many chili flakes for lobster as it overpowered the fine taste of it. The tiramisu was one of the best we had in a while. With coffee flavor! Overall food and cocktails were delicious, everyone was very friendly and enjoyed our night.

We tried the Garden on a whim and were not disappointed. The food was made in house including the sauces and pasta. The atmosphere on the patio was relaxing and intimate. The front patio has love music on Friday nights and the back patio is quieter. We enjoyed the crab cakes, lobster fettuccine, and shrimp penne arriabiata. All so delicious! For dessert we had cheesecake and tiramisu, amazing! Definitely a great place for a date night.
