This is one of my new fave places to go for date night! The homemade rolls and balsamic vinaigrette with herbs dipping sauce was so yummy! The calamari with artichoke hearts and fried shrimp appetizer was lightly fried and so delicious! Our main courses were absolutely to die for…my eggplant with crab dish was beyond delicious…5/5 review! I’m writing this review a week after going here for the first time and still salivate at the thought of that dish and am ready to go back! Great atmosphere and ambiance…the owner/chef is extremely talented and friendly! Really cares about serving authentic Italian cuisine. Ended our meal with the cannolis…plate comes with 2. So a small sweet treat for each of us to split and end the night with. Just perfect!

Wow Wow wow what a hidden gem this seriously some of the best Italian in the area! It has a cute low-key intimate Italian vibe for the decor, and our server & back waiter were super sweet and attentive! The food to start with is really just that delicious. The bruschetta was seriously delicious with that balsamic and mozzarella. Our entrees were even better! My husband said that this was the best scampi he’s ever had. That the sauce was luscious, and super creamy and lemony and the shrimp was super fresh and crisp and just popped to use his words! My seafood pasta was excellent the sauce was super yummy and a bit spicy which I loved. They definitely don’t skimp on the seafood I had a generous portions of clams, calamari and muscles, and our pasta tasted so fresh! The moscato was excellent as well. Overall this such a hidden gem for homemade Italian food and I would highly recommend coming here!

Came here a few weeks ago for a rehearsal dinner before our wedding. We had a party of about 23. The chef and staff were amazing. Food was great. Very lively and wonderful atmosphere. Thank you again for a great night.

We celebrated my father’s 70th birthday here, and could not have asked for a better place to do it. Everything was just right. We made a reservation easily for a Saturday night. The menu is not overpriced, but everyone said each of their dishes were wonderful. I ordered the steak and mashed potatoes. I appreciate that they have only house wines. They don’t mess around with the fancy stuff. It makes it easy to order. Our waitress was sweet and timely, checking on us often, but not too much.

Food was great, I had a chicken entree and tiramisu for dessert, service was competent, interior is nice but very traditional, could use some imagination. Price was reasonable considering I had dessert, a glass of wine, and leftovers for another light meal.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Houston. The food is beyond delicious, always very fresh, the subtle flavors, balanced perfectly. No matter what I order I am never disappointed. And so reasonably priced! This time my husband and I went to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, we could of chosen one of a multitude of exceptional Italian restaurants in town, but why spend $250+ on a special dinner, when we can spend just over $100 and have a better experience. Family run, Dad in the kitchen, Mom upfront running the show, young daughters while off from school learning the ropes. Their oldest daughter is serving her country in the Navy, and her photo is proudly displayed on the wall.

After looking around for a place for our anniversary dinner, we decided to try Papa Amadeos. My husband is the at-home cook and I’m the professional taste tester for his fine cooking. Most times when we eat out, one of us usually ends up saying “your version is so much better.”

Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight and wow, the food is outstanding. We shared a bruchetta appetizer. The bread was perfectly crispy (not hard at all), light, and easily held up all the fresh delicious ingredients with no issues. I had the Gnocchi ala Rustica with marinara instead of the sugorosa sauce (lactose issues); it is one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The Italian sausage was full of flavor, the gnocchi was soft and substantial without being heavy, and the marinara was so good, it was pretty much like eating dessert with the meal. I used the table bread to sop up every last drop of marinara on my plate. Art (Owner / Chef) explained that their marinara takes 8 hours to make. My wife had the Frutti de Mare and loved it. We are so glad we tried this place and will definitely be back soon. Art is very friendly and took time to chat with us when things slowed down. He and his wife Lili are both owners & gifted chefs. In addition to the delicious food, Papa Amadeo’s also has live music every Friday and Saturday. A 3-5 member jazz band plays there once a month as well. Highly recommend this place. If you like Italian food, you will love Papa Amadeo’s.

My husband and I ate at Papa Amadeus tonight. The food was so delicious. Everything was so good from the salad to dessert! The chef makes everything from scratch. He makes his own cheese! It’s my go to from now until n for Italian food!!!
